Where we discussing the question of whether reserve sides should play in 'club' colours ? And if they do, it definitely shouldn't be in former Baldock kits

A potential reason why it's not so bad for Reserve teams to play in other kits - if the first team were to draw a team in the FA Cup whose 2 kits consist of yellow, navy and white , the reserves can handily lend the sky blue kit to avoid the potential kit clash. And vice versa. Problem solved!!

Don't know the answer to that one Rob, I was rather hoping that it wouldn't be auctioned off and be available for use.

Seems simple to me, first team play in yellow / blue, change kit white/blue.

Reserves and youth ditto. Sky blue and navy kept for exceptional circumstances.

 

Thats what I mean by club colours for those having difficulty understanding.

A fine sentiment. Would make for a better 'club identity' all round. Plus, I'd imagine if we ordered 3 sets of home strips and 3 sets of away strips, we'd get an even better deal on price.

 

But as long as we keep the Sky Blue in the cupboard for special occasions though....!

If I had it my way, the majority of bar staff would be wearing sky blue. Bikinis. But I'd probably get hauled to Brussels for enforcing that.

 

YTS Sod Squad and Reserve Team right back (once!) is indeed partial to a bit of sky blue. Perhaps a bid is in the pipeline...??

That was also part of my original question. Has anybody asked about this as a possibility ? It would seem not which is a missed opportunity to push club and sponsor awareness to a greater audience.

GHA - absolutely not. Stripes only for SSFC I'm afraid, Roy of the Rovers style, takes us back to the heady days of 1993 when we finished second bottom of Review Div 5 with 4 wins and 28 losses out of 32 games.
