Yessiree Bob,I will be doing the old Radio Kent thing tomorrow using my trusty tin can and a very long piece of string.I'm not trusted enough to get the proper kit to do real grown up broadcasting and the old mobile can be a bit unreliable, but hang in there folks. There should be a quick "Hello from the Shay" at about 2.p.m. and then reports throughout the afternoon. If you are very lucky I might even get the players names and a few facts right.

Dear Stu

Remember - I know where you live. How is Madge?

I have a reputation to uphold and I am not going to spoil it by getting the facts right. Anyway, I've never let the facts get in the way of even a crap story.

I've just got home from the Shay and, in spite of losing to an 82nd minute goal by Ryan "I love scoring against Gravesend & Northfleet" Mallen, I am quite happy about our outstanding defensive performance.

Seems like Huggins has gone walkabout(due to personal reasons) according to Andy in a conversation at Leicester Forst East service station.

Highlight of the day was at the end of the game when the players - to a man - went and applauded the 50 or so Fleet supporters. It seems as though Trott, Strouts and Macca even went and shook a few hands and vowed "to get it right" for us all.

With that sort of spirit we will be OK. I am convinced we ain't going down.

PS Great to see Matty Lee and Skins back in their favoured positions.

Positive stuff Chas .

I still reckon with a bit of time and a decent forward , Andy will sort us out .

Let's not forget he got us out of that mid season slump last season when we couldn,t see where the next win was coming from , and it was only a few years ago that a spell at the bottom of the Dr Martens or Ryman was taken in the stride of the Fleet support .

Our performance today was looking much better and we are looking like a rock at the back. Ade was my MOTM today, outstanding performance! Trott came on and played really well too. And yes Macca, Stroutsy and Trott promised us "it would come"! Stroutsy was really annoyed at himself for skying his chance, its good to see we have passion at the Fleet still. Lets hope the true G+N supporters can get the team going, because those saying they are not going until Fordy is sacked, that wont help the team, they lose plenty of encouragement! Lets get 3 points off Telford on saturday, C'mon you reds!

The lads gave a good spirited performance , and worked as a team. And yes the attitude of the players at the end was superb..

Lets hope next time they come to over to us at the end of the game we have something to celebrate..

onwards and upwards...

Yes, I agree defensively we played extremely well, BUT up front we were invisable. With Ben Abbey injured and Louie Evans on the bench (!!!!!) we could have played until next May without creating a goal scoring chance.

To attain 48 points, we need to start winning a.s.a.p. Leave it much longer and we could be in serious problems.

Do not give up on the players, they were very good today, but you cannot defend for 90 minitues with no strikers. I appeal yet again to the management and Board to sort this out NOW. But please no panick signings of ageing 'carthourses. Where is James Bent when you need him ?
