Dunston UTS F.C. is a football club based in the Dunston area of Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England.

Originally known as Whickham Sports FC, the club became Dunston Mechanics FC in 1982. Following a sponsorship arrangement, the club changed name again to Dunston Federation Brewery FC in 1986. At the end of the sponsorship, the club dropped the 'Brewery' from their name in 2006.

From their formation in 1975 to 1980 they were members of the Northern Amateur League, before moving to the Northern Combination League, and then in 1987 the Wearside League, where they won the title twice. In 1991 The Fed joined the Northern League, and are still members of that competition.

They reached the Quarter-Finals of the FA Vase in the 1992-93 season when they also became Division Two Champions of the Northern League.

In 2003-04 The Fed went thirty-nine league games unbeaten only to lose the very last game of the season.

They are currently members of the Northern League Division One.

In June 2009, UTS Ltd became the club's main sponsor. The club was then renamed Dunston UTS Football Club and their ground name was changed to UTS Stadium.

whatever team loses they are going to be looking at a massive lost after the travelling expenses are paid, would need a gate of about 400 to break even with this match.

Bugger a replay, a midweek trip would be a nightmare.

Fair enough. Still one to avoid though. Does the home team have to contribute to the away teams exes?

I'll be there as well. Unfortunately for all the great football they play, Stansted as a team are not properly appreciated by the locals. Last 16 of a national cup is a big thing, but the local press & people seem more interested what happens over Bishops Stortford !
