So who saw it tonight folks and the pairings for this years eagerly awaited extravaganza that begins in earnest in three weeks time, Peter Crouch's face was a picture wasn't it when his wife Abbey got paired with Slovenian hunk Alijaz Skorjanec

Not interested in a celeb w--kfest, thanks Rhodes.

These celebs will say that they are doing it for charidee (Pudsey The Yellow Bear In Need Day) but they are PAID to do this show and will do very nicely out of the pounds and pennies we donate in November because Sir Terry of Eire says so.

The best fund-raisers imho were the Telethons - now here's a mad/stupid/crazy/genius idea... Why not, in May 2014, get every non league club to participate in a 28 hour Telethon like Telethon 88/90/92.  The clubs can be the community hubs of local fundraising, with every penny raised going to local good causes instead of the Beeb creaming off amount from Pudsey/Red Conk Day.

As well as fundraising games/events on the pitch, the clubhouse can host off the pitch events - with the best fundraising club winning an FA Community award and also the best league (from Step 1 down).   With a bit of imagination, we can get this off the ground and even run an official You Tube and Twitter website for it (it doesn't have to be televised on BBC/ITV - You Tube opens up far more possibilities for a lower cost).

This would also be a great advert for non league, at a time when grass roots really needs support.

Well fair enough but Peter Crouch's face was a real picture yesterday, you missed a treat!

It's old fashioned Saturday night entertainment though isn't it and a throwback to the good old days of Morecambe & Wise, the Generation Game and Mike Yarwood

Zippy - Thanks, yes very interesting, there is rumour that sparks have already started to fly betweeen the former Bond girl, who hasn't changed a bit since she starred with Roger Moore in 'A View To A Kill', and her suave dance partner Anton de Beke

I'd rather stick shards of bamboo in my eyes. Such is the state of Saturday Night on BBC. What happened?

The BBC (and the media in general) dumbed down, Loose.  Now it caters to the lowest form of plankton, ignoring the fact that most people have an IQ of at least 1.

Whilst Big Break and Noel's House Party weren't the best things that the BBC had ever come up with, they were far better than the modern Saturday night garbage.

Thank God for You Tube and my Family Guy DVD's!

Not me, Rhodes, listening to some ELO and doing Trophy Manager and sorting out some work.

No telly until Match of the Day later on.

So what did we think folks, Peter Crouch was conspicuous by his absence wasn't he to see Abbey Clancy bring the house down with her amazing performance, it looks like she could well go all the way with her hunky Slovenian partner Alijaz Skorjanec and Crouch doesn't seem the sort of guy to take that lying down

How did Rachel Riley get on?

Zippy - She was right up there, her looks and 'girl next door' personality alone are enough to get her to the Semi Final this year at the very least
