Manager Phil Granville has made the first of a number of signings ahead of the new season

Archie Davis is a Young goalkeeper and a student of the Bucks Sports Academy, Archie signs from Aylesbury United where he won Managers Player of the Year in the 2018/19 season. He is very good technically and comfortable with the ball at his feet.

Sam Austin joins from Aston Clinton. The 6ft3, defender can play anywhere across the back line and is a threat from set pieces. In his previous four seasons he has won individual honours in two of them.

Kevin Owusu is a Twenty Two year old former MK Dons Academy player, tricky, quick and direct winger who has great quality in the final third. Played thirty nine times for Biggleswade United in the SSML Premier Division Previously.

Lamar Mason-Williams Twenty Seven year old Lamar is a strong and pacy centre forward who joins us from Aston Clinton. Lamar has been the top goalscorer at his respective clubs four out of the last five seasons. Including 32 goals in 40 appearances for Risborough in 2017.

Lewis Workman will be a big loss to Aston Clinton, they relied on him a lot to hit the net which he did for them on a regular basis, I believe he has been at Aston Clinton Park pretty much all of his career apart from a brief spell at Marlow where he surprisingly wasn't really given an opportunity. He netted 26 goals in 32 league appearances in 2016/17 and 23 goals in 20 league appearances, 32 goals in all competitions, in 2017/18 when Aston Clinton reached the Finals of the Wycombe Senior Cup against Flackwell Heath and the SSML Division Two Cup against Park View with Workman obviously netting in both games:

Interesting signings, players having played div 2 pretty much exclusively.

I was thinking the same.

Maybe a lot of clubs will just bring in new players from lower levels because of a much bigger pressure on there playing budgets for next season.

Maybe but most clubs will have little to no budget, so most players will have to accept that, they can’t all sign for the few clubs that will still be throwing money. I think Vale will struggle, hope I’m wrong, there’s a couple of good guys down there but I think it’ll be another tough season there.

Don’t remember him playing much. Certainly not 20 games. Rang someone to ask about him ‘nice tidy player, but was back up player’

How old is he? He's been around for a while now?

27 I thought it said. Has mainly played for Aston Clinton I think.

as I was told, tidy footballer, decent in possession and hard working. Winslow quite strong in that central area so he’s probably looking to start more games.

Three of last seasons squad put pen to paper last night at the latest training session.

Dan Wilson is in his second season after joing last year from Holmer Green. He is a tall commanding player in the centre of defence who reads the game well and is good on the ball. Does all the simple things very well, uncomplicated and effective.

Jack Elsey is a young left sided defender who has progressed via the talented Dynamos U18s side. Made his debut for the first team in last seasons truncated campaign and will be a valuable member of the squad this term.

Jake Baldwin is a young striker and another player who has progressed from the U18s side. Skilful on the ball and very calm in front of the goal. Made a great impact last season and we hope for more of the same this term.

Got a guy from ADL Aylesbury district league as director of football too now, another bedgrove chap, they seem to be taking over but have no knowledge of football beyond local leagues. Very strange.

DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL - RYAN COLLINGS

Ryan takes up new role at Dynamos

Aylesbury Vale Dynamos are pleased to announce that Ryan Collings will be the new Director of Football at the club

This is a pivotal position in the club as we move forward and Ryan is the ideal person to take on the challenge. Working with Phil, Jordan and Nobby, he will identify local talent and look to get them trials and into the Dynamos set up.
Ryan has an in-depth knowledge of local football and will still be managing the Dynamos North Bucks League team as well.

Ryan is a regular fixture down at Greenfleets Stadium and he started junior football coming through the ranks as a Belgrave player under the watchful eye of the great Danny Martone. He progressed into adult football moving to America to play in the Florida league - As Ryan approached the end of his playing career a highlight was captaining Bierton Wanderers FC in the B&B Cup final marshalling one of the best defences in the county.
Once Ryan finished playing, he took up coaching becoming a part of Davis Haule's and then Paul Bonham’s recent management teams.
The Bedgrove Dynamos Mens Senior team finished the 18/19 season with their best ever league position and won the Marsworth Cup under Ryan’s stewardship.

We look forward to working with Ryan as he takes on this challenge.

DYNAMOS COMMITTEE

Who's who at Aylesbury Vale Dynamos?

As we embark on a new season, here at AVDFC we find ourselves 12 months into the new venture. So who are the committee, and what are what are their roles?
Who else is involved in the club?

MAIN COMMITTEE

CHAIRMAN - Mike Borrett
Mike has been AVDFC chairman since the amalgamation of AFC and Bedgrove Dynamos. He has been at the club for nearly 10 years now in total. Mike is determined to get AVDFC to the best place possible ensuring all kids of all ages have a chance to progress at the club. Since Mike took over as Chairman the club has continually grown and expanded to what it is today.
He is also the current Under 15’s Dynamos Manager, where his son plays.

VICE-CHAIRMAN – Steve MacDonald
Steve joined AFC back in 1996 and has been down Haywood Way ever since. He has a wealth of knowledge about the club and facilities. He has been through the great times and the hard times, but still spends hours at the club ensuring we are ready for the next match/event.
Steve has been instrumental in getting the club ready for next season with ongoing refurb works and general maintenance.

SECRETARY – Iain Willcocks
Iain was voted in as Secretary for Bedgrove Dynamos in 2017 and continued the role into AVDFC. He is a qualified referee and also helps out coach the U15’s Dynamos team. Iain deals with the Whole Game System (WGS) and ensures that all 31 teams are fully affiliated with the Leagues and all players are signed on.
He can also be found on 1st team matchdays doing the tannoy announcements and taking photos as the club photographer.

TREASURER – James Moore
James has been club treasurer for a couple of years now and keeps a close eye on the committee’s spending. James has been fundamental in gaining the recent pitch improvement grants from The Football Foundation and also sourced our new Tea Bar container.
James is also Manager of our Under 14’s Dynamos team in the Wycombe League.

HEAD OF SOCIAL EVENTS – Christine Williams
Christine has held a number of roles in recent years with AFC and now with AVDFC. Currently Christine runs the clubs very successful social scene and organises the running of the bar, and organising any social events such as bingo, comedy nights, darts teams and many more. Christine generates income and interest for the club through social media channels and is currently looking at some charity games and fundraisers to pull the adult team, youth football and local community together.

MATCH DAY SECRETARY – Rosanna Martone
Rosanna was the treasurer at AFC and also helped out with social events, match day operations and many other areas.
Now, Rosanna is in charge of all home match days for the 1st team, ensuring the match day experience is seamless organising players expenses, team line ups are in, match day officials are catered for, gate entry is manned and many other areas. Rosanna also deals with club discipline procedures for the first team.

HEAD OF YOUTH FOOTBALL – Robert Judge
Rob is the most recent addition to the Executive Committee taking on the role of Head of Youth Football. Rob was a former committee member at Bedgrove Dynamos and is therefore more than able to support the club. As Grants Officer last season, he got a grant from Luton Airport and also helps with WGS activity to support the Secretary.
Rob is now the voice on the committee for all Youth football and helps ensure the club adhere to safeguarding and welfare rules.

Alongside the main committee above, there are a number of other volunteers that also work hard behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of the club:

FA/LEAGUE FINES MANAGER – David Hutchings
David was with Bedgrove Dynamos for many years and is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to the FA and their rules. David currently supports James in ensuring that any fines are paid up in time, especially for North Bucks, ADL and Youth football teams.

DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL – Ryan Collings
Ryan is new into role and brings a wealth of local football knowledge to the table. Ryan has managed teams locally, helped coach the AVDFC 1st team and played football here as well. He is currently also manager of the North Bucks Adult Team.
Ryan is now looking at supporting the club in finding local talent to hopefully bring to the club for trials, and hopefully into the 1st team.

SAFETY MANAGER – Craig Broughton
All home matches for the 1st team are held at the stadium in Haywood Way and Craig completes his checklist before every game kicks off. Ensuring that the ground is safe for players and fans is essential…just need to find him a hi-viz vest now…!

HEAD OF YOUTH DEVELOPMENT – Nobby Swain
Nobby can always be found at the U18’s matches in the Southern Floodlit League and is one of the coaches. Recently, Nobby has taken this role to ensure we have progression through the youth football to the adult sides. The transition from youth football to adults can be difficult but Nobby has already coached a few boys that are now permanent fixtures in the 1st team.

YOUTH FOOTBALL OFFICER – Paul Driscoll
Paul is an essential part of ensuring that the Youth football side of the club runs smoothly. Previously on the main committee, Paul has in depth knowledge of the club and the local youth leagues. He also helps look for sponsorship opportunities and is a representative on the committee of the Wycombe & South Bucks Minor Football League (WSBMFL)

WELFARE OFFICER – Amanda Bamford & Vernon Hills
Complying with the FA rules is paramount and both Amanda and Vern are the officers in charge of ensuring that all our Managers and Coaches are DBS checked before they are allowed to take any training sessions. Both have boys that play for the club and between them they ensure that over 80 coaches are compliant.

FA STANDARD CHARTER OFFICER – Derek Brown
Derek has been a regular fixture around Bedgrove Dynamos for years having committee roles and managing teams. Derek continued his role with AVDFC, ensuring that the club retain their Standard Charter status. This helps when applying for grants, etc, and will become mandatory for clubs soon.

FACILITIES MANAGER – Tom Bamford
There are always many tasks that need doing to keep the club running and Tom (Bamo) is the ideal man to ensure these tasks happen. Working closely with Steve, between them they put hours of work into the club from plumbing, building, refurbishing, grass cutting, painting, etc. Tom is also there on match days to make sure everything is in order.

HEAD GROUNDSMAN – Nick Ringsell
If there is grass that need cutting, then Nick is the man. Nick has been groundsman for a few years now and has to regularly cut the pitches at Haywood Way and Bowlers to ensure football can be played. He also currently manages the U16’s Youth team as well.

GROUNDSMAN – Dave Thorn
Supporting Nick down the club is Dave. Dave has been a supporter of the team for years and is happy to volunteer to support Nick. Dave can be found cutting the first team pitch and maintaining the stadium wherever he is needed.

MENS FOOTBALL REP – Graham Cato
Graham, and his beard, are well known down the Dynamos club. He is currently coach (and secretary) for the ADL Mens Team and also acts as a conduit between this team and the committee. Graham also helps out cutting pitches and anything else that is needed.

YOUTH FOOTBALL REP – Kieron Bowman
With such a large number of youth players now, the more hands that help out the better. Kieron has been Youth Rep for a couple of years and assists Paul and Rob in ensuring that any teams from U13’s – U18’s are ready to go for the new season. Kieron is also another pair of hands that helps with all the work at the club and is currently the U16's Dynamos Manager.

MINI SOCCER REP / PITCH BOOKINGS – Nathan Poole
Nathan is manager of the U11’s Colts team and also acts as the Mini Soccer Rep. This role also support Paul and Rob to ensure the younger age groups are ready for the new season. Nathan also books all the pitches for U7’s – U11’s to ensure everyone knows where they are playing on match days.

MATCH DAY HOSPITALITY – Ian Brown
Ian is a regular at almost all home and away 1st team fixtures. At home matches he can be found in the boardroom, meeting and greeting the away committee and match day officials. “Brownie” has been at the club for many years and has probably held almost every role during his time, including 1st team manager where he won the Wycombe Junior, and Senior Cups.

MATCH DAY OFFICER – Jon Cake
Since the first match of AVDFC, Jon has been an ever present supporter and helper at the home matches, and attends most away games too. Jon “the machine” is our very own ball retriever, tunnel puller and is also always on hand to lend a hand with any refurb works going on at the club.

MATCH DAY OFFICER – Chris Thorn
Chris has been coming to the club for a few years now and always helps Ian out with the match day hospitality. Chris, and his brother Dave, are also found during the home matches helping out find the lost balls.
