Sacked their manager by email. Classy.

Jack says in a local press article that he is 'shocked' but what did he achieve at Cotlandswick in his eleven months or so in charge:

Management Up-date
It is with regret that the club has to announce that manager Paul Bonham is about to undergo a serious back operation and is therefore unable to fulfil his club role and responsibilities for the rest of the season.
James Heeps and Enzo Silvestri will step in to take the reins as they did so successfully earlier this season and Ant Christophi and Sam Pateman will continue in their current roles as Assistant Manager and Coach respectively.
The arrangement is a temporary one. James Heeps will retain an overview of the U18s and will return to his role as U18 Manager at the end of the season.
We are sure everyone will want to demonstrate their support for James and Enzo as they seek to guide the First Team through these last two important months of the season.

PAUL BONHAM STEPS DOWN AS FIRST TEAM MANAGER

It is with huge regret that the club announces the resignation of Paul Bonham from his role as First Team Manager.

As we reported last week, Paul is due to undergo a serious operation on his back. After discussions with his surgeon and consultant it became clear that he could not be certain that he will recover in time to properly prepare the club for next season. Paul discussed this with Club Chairman John McLaughlin and both agreed that the uncertainty and potential instability that this could cause would not be in the best interests of the club. In such circumstances a mutual decision was made for Paul to step down from his role as First Team Manager.
Paul has been a pleasure to work with and will be missed. It is never easy taking the reins of a club mid-season but Paul successfully stabilised the club and enabled it to remain competitive. We sincerely thank him for all his hard work and wish him a speedy and full recovery from his back surgery. He and his lovely family will always be welcome at our club.
Paul said:
“I just wanted to thank everyone at the club for giving me this opportunity. I have enjoyed my time at the club, and I am very disappointed that it has ended like this. A big thank you to my management staff and players who have worked tirelessly over the last few months. The club have been very supportive to me and particularly over the last couple of weeks as I have grappled with this decision. I wish them all the best for the rest of the season.”
Assistant Manager Ant Christophi has also made the decision to leave the club and we wish him well in his future football career and thank him for his hard work since his appointment.
James Heeps and Enzo Silvestri will continue as the caretaker management team and the club will seek to appoint a new manager/management team over the next few weeks so that important recruitment and preparation for next season can begin.

SSML Division Two Managers

Buckingham United - John Walton

John Walton and his trusted Assistant Gary Mander will stand down at the end of the campaign:

Club Statement
This morning the club can confirm that come the end of the season, First Team Manager John Walton with his assistant and long time great friend Gary Mander will be hanging up the tactics board as John retires from football management.
John has given so much to football over the last 30 years while also noting the excellent and positive influence to many young players during that time. More recently since 2019, we have been delighted and had a very real privilege to have John involved with our club.
When results have not gone our way spirits have never dampened, John's positive charisma and can do attitude will certainly be missed.
John will remain with the club until our last game of the season, our home clash with Eynesbury United on Monday 2nd May. While that will be the last game in charge John and his wonderful family will always be welcome back to the club anytime.
Looking ahead to next season, we will be advertising shortly for applications of the vacant First Team Managers position.

Thanks Karen, presumably that is due to Arlesey Town's 5-0 drubbing at Harefield United on Saturday
