Winslow Boy - AlwaysLeighton is quoted on another thread as saying that they are just 'young lads who support their local Club', he doesn't believe there is a problem

Surprise ?

thought the club had got rid of these wet wipes?

I can tell you that the person in this forum is wrong. The young lads behind the goal create and continue to create a brilliant atmosphere. Shame he doesn’t want to return, ‘if I were local I wouldn’t’, okay, tell that to rest of the Leighton locals that continue to turn out in force.

It’s funny, young lads making a brilliant atmosphere should be praised, not slandered like they are. I feel for them. Hopefully, they’ll make plenty of noise this evening at AynesBerry

PREMIER DIVISION

2-1 Potton United v Broadfields United (Andrews, Thomas) / (Anderson-Richards) Attendance: 74

The match programme, can't seem to find a report however Potton United made rather heavy weather of a game they were expected to win convincingly. They took the lead on just five minutes through Liam Andrews but, instead of the floodgates opening, Broadfields United equalised on sixteen minutes following some sloppy defending, it was fortunate that Jack Thomas netted superbly just before the interval and Potton United managed to keep the visitors at bay throughout a fairly uneventful second period to remain fourth in the table but only two points behind joint leaders Eynesbury Rovers and Biggleswade United:

If that’s what he thought he’s not wrong, perhaps his opinion differs from yours, he’s got no axe to grind, just offering his unbiased opinion on the game and ground, these opinions are worth taking into consideration not dismissing because you don’t like them. Groundhoppers don’t tend to be overt sensitive, they take in a lot of games and crowds. I know a few of the older Leighton support have expressed concerns.

however can’t argue your opinion either and it’s great to see that level of support and young support. Perhaps if they do overstep the line other supporters can just tell them to keep it in check. You can support without acting like morons and dishing out abuse (if that is what happens) certainly shouldn’t be throwing anything on the pitch.

No noise tonight as the game is OFF

Karen - Will the League be querying that decision out of interest as it is the best pitch in the League, none of the other fixtures are off this evening, do you know who the inspecting Official was

Absolutely shocking decision, FA and league need to investigate as this isn't the first time they've pulled a stroke like this (against the same opposition as well).

Completely agree here. Yes, I am biased, but it’s a disgrace. Twice now this has happened this season. Colney Heath vs Newport Pagnell goes ahead, with a game on that pitch last night, yet ‘groundsman of the year’ and their fantastic pitch isn’t fit to play on. I smell something very, very fishy...

Two additional match reports and photographs from last Saturday, I still don't know how ten man (after five minutes) Leverstock Green managed to beat Colney Heath:

See they’ve locked their twitter after getting a few (deserved) pelters.
