Draw was the right result , we’re not going to win every game in this league but losing two points to a late goal again hurts. Carshalton played a physical game and it disrupted our own game plan, sure we’ll adapt to these challenges as we move forward.

A bit of perspective - we’re 5 in the league and we’ve played teams that are currently 6,7,8 in the league , Enfield who are top have played teams that are 13,21,22 in the league. We need to really play 10+ games before we have an idea where we’re going but 7 points from 9 is a good start COYU

At the end of the day we were lucky to beat Horsham that game should have been a draw. Margate the 4-1 scoreline flattered us and today a draw was a fair result. Yes we do look more solid defensively but it really has limited us going forward. So many sloppy passes. The 3 goals we have conceded so far have been really poor. I’m all for one going for this more pragmatic/defensive approach but we can’t concede the goals we are conceding. It’s a long season and if you offered anyone 7pts out of 9 in their first 3 games they would have taken it. We just need to find a way of getting that midfield to link up to the attackers. When that clicks we will be just fine and it would be great if we could do what Aveley and Stortford did last season where they can keep a clean sheet, we have enough quality going forward so if the defence can keep a clean sheet, there is enough quality going forward to win a game 1-0

Hmmm interesting comments. We definitely have the quality and ability in the back and midfield, our passing and composure is excellent.

We are three games into a new season, all of whom have been tough opponents, this is the second game that we have fielded a team with only five of last seasons first team. So it will take a bit of time to work out positions etc etc.

If we can see what the issue is, hopefully the manager can see the same.

We’ve got George and Sam to come back into this side - that’ll give us more width and more link up play from midfield to attack. I’m encouraged by the style of play which is an improvement on last season.

Honestly think we’re going to get stronger. As for the Margate game, I think we finished that game on a high and had we got more time, we would have scored more, don’t accept that the scoreline flattered us although Margate are a good side.

This is definitely a harder league from last season and it’s going to take something special for someone to pull away.

We deserved to beat Margate but was probably more of a 2-1 3-1 game. It takes time to click when you have a new manager and a lot of new players and this isn’t an easy start to the season so to get 7 points from 3 games when we haven’t fully clicked yet is a positive

I was trying to work out the 2-1-3-1 formation 😂
