Conference TV

probably due to the fact I only have half speed broadband, but my Conf TV sound is fine, but the pictures are not video, but a series of photos. I'm streaming it at 128 bps,and my connection is 256 bps, so it should be fine. I have tinkered with size ans spped options, but no difference. What am I missing, please?

I think it's a fault at their end - happened a couple of times last season. I have standard 10x Broadband, currently running at 576kbps & the video was playing as a series of jerky photos last time I tried it. Sound fine for interviews, though.

One of the reasons I posted the link to my clips in the "Just in case" thread.

Thanks for suggestion, but still the same, whichever way I view it. Runs as video for 2 seconds, then slows to jerky photos, then briefly video again before returning to jerkmode.

Definitely did this last on occasion last year when the lot who went bust were running it. Must be a fault at their end as I'm trying to view it on full speed broadband & all other video functions are working fine. Possiblt linked to article in NLP about BT being caught out by demand for the service & having to upgrade to keep up?

Yes. Finally discovered it was myself, rather than Conference tv or my Broadband provider that was the villain of the piece.

Installed a programme about a year ago which does useful things with unwanted files & fixes registry problems, but also has an "optimise" facility. Dimly remembered tinkering here & when I looked I had indeed messed around trying to "optimise" a perfectly good internet connection. Told it to go back to its original settings & bingo no more jerky video.

Probably still need to undo more forgotten tinkering, because the video occasionally pauses for "buffering," which doesn't happen on my work computer. However, Robbo's suggestion to download, rather than stream seems to stop that.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Fair coverage of tonights game now on Conferencefootball.tv plus interview with Andy - - Andy, backing up what was said on the web commentary and an earlier poster in another thread, said he felt it wasnt a free kick for their goal.

Terry Brown, the Shots manager, said he felt really sorry for us, as we were "magnificent" tonight.

Silly challenge from Jay for second yellow - no real need to dive in as he did.

Only shortfall of coverage on video (as seems to be their wont if theres a hint of controversy (Leigh's penalty claim on Saturday another example?) )didnt show the "foul" that led to their free kick & goal.
