When a club has an attendence of 0 its means that the home club on that day has not told the essex senior league how many paying spectators were at their game,so the esl has to put 0 down .

Sounds like no one was there to count no bodies - that's why.

At our recent game at Sarfend I think it was left to the league chairman who was also there to do a count!!

Interesting this one (or is it!). Does a club have to put down 'paying' customers or does an attendance include complimentary guests?

My understanding that clubs get at least 12 passes so in theory there should at least be 12 even if no visiting officials turn up? (Providing a full home committee is in attendance of course)

No, sounds like a tax dodge to me. Ah, those old days at Southbury Road with over 1000 paying spectators and an attendance of 750!

It would be a good idea if the abbey played the town during the christmas holiday and the return fixture during the easter holiday ,The attendances should be fairly good if its still a two horse race come next easter. come on derek & peter get your heads together on this one.
