Town did their homework well and did not just contain London Colney but beat them convincingly.

Right from the word go Town put London Colney under pressure with a lovely cross from Negus and to Lee Smith. And just missed. On 8 minutes and 29 seconds to be precise Kevin Riley picked the ball up in the Centre circle kept coming past all the tackles and planted the ball straight and low in the right hand corner. Unbelieveable Super Kev scored possibly his best ever goal for the Town. And there were those who were worried that without Rudi we’d be done for.

The Ref wasn’t the best we had ever seen. Bradley Brotherton was head-

butted but got booked for it? Lee Smith was peppering the goal just wide and with his head from a free-kick. On 36 minutes Matty Negus hit the post with a pearl of a shot. Matty crossed for a diving header from Seb Ndombe who dived and was held in midair by a defender but no penalty was given. Brad Brotherton headed into the arms of the keeper.

In the second half Paul Campbell had a solo attempt saved by the keeper. Matty Negus shjot into the arms of the keeper. Paul Campbell collected the ball deep in his own box and took it over all the tackles to the opposing box before realising his line of shot was blocked and unselfishly passing it to Seb Ndombe to slot home. Thank you very much 2 – 0. Not to be outdone Dean Nyman had a lovely one two with Lee Smith before just shooting wide into the side netting. All Change Riley, Smith and Seb Ndombe off and Wright , Pamplin and Davis on. Quickly Asa was heading just wide. Different players same level of domination.

Enfield versus Enfield Town next round please!

Its Saturday 11th December and there was a game a few years back in the ESL When Tony Cross's Bowers side went all the way to Bodmin in Cornwall, so it can happen. They were tonked 5-1 but it was a great trip except for some tatty accomodation the night before the game. So, ET if you get a draw, needing overnight do NOT scrimp on the accomodation - it has an adverse affect on playing performance !
