Abbeys rent a crowd 'PIKEYS'

Recommended Posts

it was nice to see WA pay so much money for a rent a crowd for the day to give them some support. They must have all arrived in that caravan that was parked in the corner (although didn't see fairground attached to it as in the norm with pikeys). Its a shame WA couldn't organise proper parking attendants they didn't have a CLUE about parking arrangements, just like that man in black who ran around all came giving f*ck all to Towners i think his role is ref no [censored] no Abbey fan ah yes thats it.

WELL DONE THAT MAN AT THE END WHO TRIED TO GET TO THE REF, I SHOULDN'T WORRY THE REF PROBABLY DIDN'T SEE YOU JUST LIKE HE DIDN'T SEE MUCH ELSE.

Part time drinker...you only drink when you're thirsty!! I see Abbey's average attendance shot up 50% on the back of yesterday's game!

Why the hell I bothered to work that one out, nobody knows, not even me...I think I will go down the pub as I am feeling better now!

Look, I said the other week that some of Abbey's followers were a bit uncooth but hey, better they be like that than not there at all. It takes all sorts to make the world, and I for one felt it was a pleasant change for a team other than Townies (who were also a great bunch the other night)bring support to our place.

As for your game yesterday 300 plus, local derby, top of the table clash, coats for goalposts (or did they get put back in time). Total healthy stuff for the ESL.

Lets be thankful that this league can still put on such a fixture, and not try to over analyse all the rights and wrongs.

Stone Cold….i don’t often get involved in the banter on this forum, but after reading a few posts on here from the ETFC fans I couldnt help but get myself involved. As chopper pointed out to you, we have been getting a few fans over there this year, 90% of us are just friends who want to support our mates, especially when we know how many fans you have over week in week out I think a few more people made an extra effort to get over there and an extra effort to join in the singing. You boys in the stands have it your way every week and as soon as you get a bit of competition you are on here complaining that our song were offending, (I know that wasn’t you) PIKEYS was well below the belt and I am still trying to work out how you came to that conclusion, but I suppose even people like you are entitled to your own option! I and many of your fellow ETFC fans id imaging are very surprised you condone violence at football, maybe you should take a look in the mirror to see who the real pikey is! Just my option!!!!

This all takes me back to when Romford joined the ESL. We had a crowd similar to the Townies in the early 90s and were the only team in the League with what you would call real support, ie sing songs, travel away en masse and the odd bit of mayhem.

Apart from Canvey <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/dancingman.gif" alt="" /> there was no real opposition and we thought we were the bees knees. Now of course ET have crowds comparable to how ours were, and when Abbey came, saw and conquered for the third time at our place the other week they gave us some serious stick and boy does it knarl inside.

These things are always going to happen at matches such as Saturday, especially now with the internet and bulletin boards. Mind you this could be just a dry run for ET, especially in mind of what's coming up this Sunday and having read the comments of the Enfield manager in this week's NLP.
