Pretty football doesn't always win matches. As for Romford, well at the moment we are not quite good enough to keep up there with the top guns, but we know our station and hate to punch above our weight and the ref and the pitch were okay at Ramblers yesterday. Just one great strike from Cyclops settled it.

Well Town's football has only failed to get results ONCE in the league this season, to be fair! And that could have gone either way really.

 

But it's true. To use a bit of a cliche, you have to earn the right to "play football". Obviously other teams are going to try to stop you, and to shut you down - this is not rocket science. Given Abbey's position and record this season, I would hazard that it happens to them in a lot of matches.

 

It's a funny old game....

Rudi flicked the ball (whilst it was in the air) as the keeper was taking a drop kick. I don't think the keeper spotted him.He then tapped into into the empty net. I've seen them given.But i've also seen them not given.

 

Second one ,the keeper was challenged for the ball in the air by two Town players.The ball fell to Rudi ten yards out and he hit a lovely half volley.The ref gave the goal but the lino flagged for pushing on the keeper. Again, sometimes they are given, sometimes they are not.
