WERE IS SOUTHPORT.

Recommended Posts

The fact remains ,that he (phil) was voted onto a seat on the board mainly because he could be a link between the fans on this forum and the discision makers. And we were hoping that we would get more reliable and quicker information on here,if ONE OF US were in the boardroom.

Also Junior. Are you suggesting that you dads posts on here (and his interest in ETFC) would deminish if Mr Clarke was resigned to the club.??If thats the case, maybe we voted for the wrong man.

maybe thats why u voted for him, but it also might be to do with his work links (saleman; cant trust them!!) or the fact that he does so much for the club or maybe its the fact that he has organised so many fund raising things, or maybe it WAS the fact he is a mad supporter and friends with other supporters and can say their views.

escuse me but how did u get THAT from what i said?! NO i dont think would deminish if Mr Clarke was resigned to the club. i dont even know what he thinks about Danny returning, aint my business, just like he doesnt tell me anything on the board, so i am not talking for him, no Mr Stuff

I know that Phil has been very busy recently at work. I had an e-mail from him this morning telling me that a presentation yesterday morning lasted until gone 6.00pm. He then drove back from Milton keynes. a lot of the posting recently have been getting very silly with different sets of fans slagging each other of and I know that he does not want to get involved in such a load of c***. I also know that he is working hard on fund-raising issues for the club. you have to accept that as a director, he cannot let all the info he has out into the open. It would be commercial suicide. the guy is doing a good job having only been elected a few weeks ago. I bet there are other directors doing less. Lay off him.

I also get told things that relate to the mens section of the club at Ladies section commitee meetings but it is not always the right time for information to come out as sometimes it could do more harm than good, so now and again it IS better to say nothing.

One supporter-one vote...We know that some fans do put in more work for the club than others.(by the way,i have no problem with Phil OR the excellent work he does for the club, just his perceived unwillingness to be more forthcoming with regards to information on this forum)).I also know that certain information and discisions cannot be made public.

I just don't like the situation that some fans find our things and choose to keep their cards close to their chests, even though revealing that imformation could not possibly harm the club (but would have the avantage of keeping ALL supporters equally informed).

I have no problem with the elected board keeping things quiet from the fans IF they think that unltimatley it is in the best interests OF the fans to do so.But it does look sometimes that we also have an inner-circle of priviledged fans that have access to inside information, but choose to keep their cards close to their chests.ALL fans have the right to know EVERYTHING about the club, unless doing so would hurt the interest of the club.

ok lovely stuff, here you go:-

packets of paper clips bought (10)

cups of tea drunk on match days (30)

car park spaces (66)

sandwiches eaten on match days (50)

Bread Pud sold (lots)

Some information is boring. Do you really need to know EVERYTHING

Where on earth did this come from? Who said Phil was voted onto the board so that he became a link with the forum users? Who said information from the board room would be more reliable and divulged quicker to the forum users if Phil was elected as a director? Was this in his presentation to become a director? Of course not.

Most people know that I am on the board but I would certainly not take the lead and divulge board information to a select few, which is really what the forum is all about.

Leave him alone and lets get on with doing the best we can on and off the playing field.

By the way, can you define 'one of us'?

ok you lot, now listen up

i have had to work my bo££ix off, 14 hour days, for the last couple of weeks, to maintain my employment.

at the end of these days of work I have invariably worked on ETFC stuff, which deliverying money into the club has over taken my enjoyment of swapping insults with you tw&ts.

I am firstly and always will be a fan, who has a desire to see our club progress and to see the best NL football in the boro.

In this evening's board meeting i remained the voice of the fans (those who expressed an opinion on tuesday, rest assured i passed it on.) it did not go down well; but yes that is what i am there for; to pass on your opinions; which are not always mine, but if you have the b&lls to talk to me (unlike LS) then i will pass them on.

so LS, if you do not respond to my PM, i will out you; or just come and stand behind you on saturday.

now lighten up

if it is ok with you guys i will be takin a holiday over christmas, get used to it!

Southport, why are you explaining yourself to the minority of what seems to be 2, Bollox to them, i didnt realise you "HAD" to come on here daily or that it was compolsory that you "HAD" to make so many postings per day/week. Its xmas, you have a job & a family now lets see if they can work out which comes first, them or the forum!
