I read with interest in the Dartford and Swanley Extra that tos turned down a very lucrative offer from Welling to stay loyal to Dartford, apparently he has been attracting attention from Tonbridge,Braintree,Lewes and Erith and Belvedere.Tos says the noise the supporters make is GREAT, what all 200 of them, i think he thinks playing back at the FLEET.Do you think his waiting for the call from LIAM..... HA HA!!!!!!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Perhaps they don't call him '[****!!****]' like a few of our lot did. I've spoken to Tosty a few times in the past since his Fleet days when I sponsored him and, believe you me, he has a real soft spot for us but he's moved on and he's found his new admirers and supporters, albeit at a lower level. He's being loyal to them, as he would have been to us if he'd still been a Fleet player. Maybe there's a lesson to be learnt there.

I presume that Tos still doesn't drive.. So it does limit the clubs that he can play for..

Have only seen him the once in darts colours, and whilst he did score, he did also miss a penalty, which made Ben Abbeys effort look like a thunderbolt. Not sure that Tos could consistantly hack it at Conference level , but it would have been a joy to watch him try.

 

Altho Dartfords crowds are a lot smaller than ours, they do tend to generate a lot of noise, with ALL getting behind their team. Maybe we can learn a lesson there.

Tostao, a player we have constantly had a go at for deserting us and going off to find fame and fortune in Ireland.

 

Apparently he was approached by Welling a couple of weeks ago and a fee was agreed by the clubs for a move to Park View. However, he has turned it down until he knows that Dartford have got themselves out of trouble and are guarenteed to stay up. Now if this really is the case and I would put good money on it being true, it shows that the bloke really was badly mis-led by his agent when he was with us, which is what many of us suspected at the time.

 

I had a few dealings with him while he was with us and although he sometimes stretched the truth a little (! ) he always displayed a loyalty to the club that was almost nievely touching at times.

 

Good luck to the bloke wherever he ends up and in my opinion I actually think he could have done a job for us at Conference level.

He scored today in a 5-0 demolition at home to Berkhamstead.
All the goals came in the 2nd half!
