Favourite films???

Recommended Posts

Here's mine:

Lord of the Rings (the extended editions)!

Star Wars Empire Strikes Back.

Star Wars New Hope.

Apollo 13.

Fav actors male:

S L Jackson.

T Hanks.

Fav actors female:

I should base this on talent, but find my choices based on looks so I will not bother!

Most hated actor: Emma Thomson. (she really gets on my nerves).

Most disappointing DVD(s). Star Wars 4, 5, 6. The charm of the original releases was their dirty lived in nature. George has discovered the computer and messed them right up! I did not rate Star Wars 1 or 2 for the same reason. I will see 3 though just to complete the set!

Ahh, see what you mean! Thing is I instinctively avoid films I know I won't like, so I have a very distinct idea of my favourite ones...

Lost in Translation
and
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
were good...

I know what you mean, in my oppinion Hollywood on the whole can't do Comedy. I'm sorry I will offend people on this but Jackie Chan, Owen Wilson and Jim Carrey are not actors they are a joke.

Although not seen Spotless mind and I do like Kate Winslet as an Actress and heard that in spotless mind Carrey played it well. If the guy did more stuff like this then he would go up in my estimation as an actor.

how can yo have not seen zulu, what were you doing every single bank holidya afternoon in the 80's, that and king solomons mines were guaranteed to be broadcast, radio times even stopped writing it in as they assumed everyone knew.

What was that film called where the pirates invade the island but they cant get up the hill because the island inhabitants set up a load of traps like rolling large logs down a hill and they dug a big pit with a lion in it and they pirates fell into it.

It could have been a film or I could have dreamt it. Cheers.

Bond films are quality. live and let die especially

You replied to me but I don't think that message was meant for me. But if it was, then my answer is - I was born in 1988, not much time to see those 80s films then. Plus, Thomas the Tank Engine was distracting me, of course.

As for Jim Carrey. I like his serious films a lot more too. I think The Truman Show and Man on the Moon should be considered as serious, even if they did have a few funny moments.
