Iron in trouble

Recommended Posts

Hi Gazza.

It's quite fascinating. When chaos eventually reigns, as it certainly will, someone will say "But how did he get away with it for so long?", and of course, there's the answer. People like Fatboy surround themselves with people like bomber. 'A club going forward'. For Heavens sake.

And Andy G. Any statement of fact concerning the past is a lie. No debate, no discussion. A lie. End of.

They'll learn. We did.

Hi Andy.

I was disappointed to see the lack of any response from you to my withdrawal of a message last week that you had taken completely the wrong way. Never mind.

When you expressed your view of my posting, you stated that I don't tell the truth. I took strong exception to that, Andy, but I let it go as you considered that you had been wronged by me and it was more important to correct that. That is between us and will remain so.

"Blind faith" Andy. At the risk of boring you, you're one who deserves all that is coming to you. Enjoy it for now.

AFF my dear chap if i took it the wrong way i apologise. As you can imagine just after losing everything on my laptop, music, photo's of someone very dear to me that can never be replaced, i was in no mood for the comments you made ,maybe any other time i would have laughed it off as i do 90% of the time.

As for the rest as i've told you before all i'm interested in is the future ,not the past.

And thanks for saying i deserve all that's coming to me ,for once we agree on something after all my years at Cressing Rd ,i too think i deserve to see my team playing in the conference.

nowt strange at all about any of it webbo....

we make it up on here and hey presto...it comes true...

if it doesn't we just put it all down to forum banter...

there is just one small thing that puzzles me...and as we're mates an' all perhaps you could clear my mind...

if you proceed with the proposed development at cressing road....which means that you have to move the pitch as the plans allow for the demolition of the existing clubhouse and the pitch itself....

where will you actually play when its being done....?

surely there must be a groundshare in the plans somewhere along the line....you would of course be most welcome at the old stadium and I am sure also at noo lodge.....

and I think I speak for all of us posters when I say that I hope it all comes off for you and that the Iron launch themselves into the connie and beyond on the back of it...

good luck....

It occurs to me the best time to move the ground around would be within a day or two of the final match of the season. Now my guesses are no better than anyone elses but I know this is no Wembley type construction. As long as sufficient resources are employed I don't see this operation being much different timewise than Chelmsfords at Melbourne Park, the first sod having being turned there only what 3-4 months ago? and now we're being told the ground is on schedule to host football on Jan 2. So yeah start in early May and hopefully it'll be ready for football in August. I realise this is all conjecture but to get it done in the close-season appears feasible to me and who knows Cressing Road might re-open to Nationwide South football now wouldn't that be the icing on the cake!

Oz, don't tell the rest of them, but we have a cunning plan. Knock down the Quag & extend the green bit by another 25 yards.

While the extension of the pitch is bedding in, we've already got permission from both Isthmian Gestapo HQ and those nice people in the Conference to play with a three sided ground, while we build the new Quag.

When it's done that bloke that Andy g. keeps knocking on the Iron forum will move the goals and the white lines and we then knock down the clubhouse end. Still maintaining the three-sided ground.

Yes, we'll end up moving the Football Club, but only 25 yards!

Anyway - enough of this insider information. I'm still waiting for Gazza to give me details of that ground share with Chelmsford. Even the Clarets would like to see it now.

I see Braintree won again

won again webbo....?

you lost last week if I recall...

by the way...the 'cunning plan' surely depends on planning permission being granted to actually move the pitch 50 yards........good luck with that when you get around to applying for it...

Indeed Unc, we're on a bit of a dodgy run at the moment. Unfortunately, sides from both the Football League and the Conference South have beaten us in our last 22 games and we've also drawn a couple.

The other 18 have been wins of course.

50 yards? try again.

Thank you for your kind wishes and support for our planning application(s).
