A hard post to make...

That would be an interesting conbersation with a player " I want you to come to our club as I think you are better than what we have but....I wont be able to select you for a while as there is a fans favourite already in your position, still intersted in joining us?"

Jim should be picking the players that HE thinks are the best ones to do the job that needs to be done and he should be left alone to do it.

Isn't that another problem? It seems like the new players get to start / finish games whilst replacing the player before. Wouldnt it be best for Jim to test them in the side with 45 mins, or even just a 20 minute slot? So he knows how they'd fit first?

Not only that, but it causes bad blood. When i as playing football,if the manager had brought someone new in , and immediatetly put them in the side ahead of me, in my position,i would have been furious.

This has happened to Smith, campbell,Allen,Woodward and Negus, this season.

You wouldn't mind if the new players were clearly superior to the ones being replaced, but they are not.

PS.. Still 100% being Jim, but i reserve the right to criticize.

Who remembers the old EFC days when players were not producing the goods. Remember Mario Walsh or Steve Molesey? We used to give them a right tongue lashing if we felt they we letting the side down.I rememer one current ETFC fan who used to barrack Mark Pye from start to finish every game. The pye-man would always raise his game in response.

If Jim was brining in a line of players that he didn't know the ability and fitness of and needed to see them in a game to find then I would think that he has lost the plot.

Brining in a player in a sunday morning side is a bit different to a senior level squad being improved.

I have nothing against ANY player that we have but if Jim can get someone better in any position then he must do it.

I never said Jim doesn't do his homework- I think we all know he does it and he does it to A* standard.

HOWEVER my point was, like LS second, it causes bad karma around the team, bad feeling, you may think of it as nothing but if the team don't get along as a team, they wont play like a team, and not playing like a team doesn't make points.

A player can play like fecking Beckham for all I care, but it doesnt mean that when put with a different squad, different pitch, different tac tics, he's still going to be the same bloody Beckham.

He has to fit with the side, otherwise the team wont work as a team and our points go back down the sh1t hole.

Take Saturdays keeper for example, we all agreed he was shocking, and to be from Chesunts first team was even more shocking, but clearly this player is able to play in a higher league than we currently are, but he didn't fit. My point proven with the 3 points we did not win- I think Andy Hall's absence is too big a coincidence to not be to blame.

Just stressing my opinion. You may not agree with it, but I'm right and always will be. Again; in my opinion.

Andy had A bad game. WE (as a majority then) can remember the bad games he's had, so that is clearly very few.

WE as a majority then Steph, and especially in my opinion, i definitly was NOT impressed with his performance on that particular day, however, he was thrown in at the deep end, and when playing for Chesunt probably (hopefully) plays alot better.

I didn't agree with that comment. You speak for yourself and no me.

I actually said that Peat played better than Chopper did against Potters Bar.

Steph. When Peat has played 200 games as GOOD as Choopper has, then come back to me. Your analogy is ridiculous.Plus Peat did NOT play any better than chopper did.I don't recall Chopper puching the ball into his own net aginst PBFC or giving away a penalty after the opposing striker kicked the ball wide of the goal.

Steph. Who would you like to see in goal against Corby.Hall or peat.Simple question.

Back to the team.He is my starting 11 for the Corby game.

A. Hall

Campbell, Allen, Penn, Woodward

Ritchie, Velendia, Rudi, Negus

Smith, Paul

Subs from: Gant,Hammett,Magona,Morgan,Green,Baldwin.G.hall

Good call but how comes you have left Adam "Mr Reliable" Gant out?
Would replace Dave Allen with Adam Gant.

I think Ganty is a top player, but i feel Penn and Gant lack pace when paired together.I'm still convinced that Penn will make a great centre half ,and i feel Allens added pace would make for a great central defensive pairing. Remember how good Allen was at the start of the season when playing in that role.

May i add that this is the team i would pick for the NEXT game. It is not necessarily the team i would pick for all the remainder of the season.

Nice one PBTFC, but I think Berkhampsted and Enfield FC might want to have some say in that Championship!

This is a hard post to make through my rose tinted specs but thank goodness Jim chooses the team and not you lot!
