I'm with Nikki and LS on this one. I will be boycotting the bar on Saturday. Looks like the hip flask will be getting an airing.

I've been doing that for ages. Now what we need is our OWN Social Club as well as a Reserve Team. Something to bring up at the meeting on April 6th perhaps?

I believe that the rules regarding the age thingy have now changed. Safety Officer was told that you have to be 18 to even collect Glasses etc now.
Am waiting comfirmation on that one though.

I think Nikki should just ignore them all. Stay out of the Main Bar. Come & sit with me in the Boardroom Matey at least your appreciated in there girlie.

SL..You suggest starting up our own social club.Good idea,BUT Softie would point out that that will upset the Brimsdown people,if their takings suddenly fall.As a result of them being upset, they may start making life hard for us ,and being uncooperative <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Folks will alway do as they wish. I've said my bit.

Steph we all take time to get over things that nark us whatever they are. Here is a thought for you - Do old people get over things faster than young ones? I think maybe we do - Combination of perception of time and lifes experiences as we get older making life appear to go faster. So maybe Junior will take longer to get over it than say you or I?

Good grief. I dessert my PC for a few days and get back to find we are on the brink of WW3. But, and for once (and only once) I'm with Softie here. It seems to me what's needed is for Brimmo to pay any unpaid wages (which I'm sure they will-if not a county court action will soon sort it out) and for there to be a personal explantion about what didn't work out. I'm afraid that's as good as it will get here. Slagging people off collectively or individually is a serious error of judgement, by people who (from experience) really ought to know better.

As for talk of decamping to the Isaac, that seems a bit of cutting of noses..... They (management & customers) won't necessarily appreciate it without prior warning either.

Its time for a reality check and to move on, in my view.

Definitely reality check time! I suggest that we think on the following:

Whose ground is it, precisely?

Why, precisely, do they agree to a ground share? Their generous and kind hearted nature perhaps, or is their another reason?

Without the groundshare and a long lease in place, might things be difficult for our club?

Brimsdown do very nicely out of the deal, thank you! £500-1000 through the bar every Town game.Nice new Stadium.A nice new playing surface, free groundman ,free work on improving their facilities...etc.

Yes,we have benifited from the groundshare, but they have gained enormously out of the situation as well.Lets not forget that.

One moment I'm accused of ignoring and as soon as I suggest I'm not I'm ticked off. Sort it out yourselves I'm not getting involved.

That was not aimed at you but at those who say we should get involved in ONE persons disagreement with our hosts when they dont know all the facts.

Bruno. Will you support getting 'involved' IF it is proved that Brimsdown WERE out of order, with regard to their treatment of a fellow Town supporter?

I think,as a collective we must make a dicision, and it must come from board-level.Do we bow down to Brimsdowm SC and accept the fact that we will have to tow-the-line and bite our lips for the duration of our stay at Goldsdown Rd.Or do we accept the fact, that at some stage we will inevitably have disagreements with our host(no matter how carefully we try to tread),and thus employ a policy of standing-up more for our interests .

No I wont support the club getting involved in a matter that is between our hosts and ONE individual who was NOT on club business. It is up to Brimsdown who they employ and they do not have to provide a reason to the person involved and definately not to anyone else, even if you think they do.

It is not an Enfield Town matter.

It is not an ETFC matter so the club should not get involved. However, as individuals, we have the right where to and where not to drink. I will not be drinking in the bar for some time now in support of a friend who I feel has been treated appallingly.

Gazza - we were in the Izaak on Saturday and watched the Scouse derby, the folks in there were fine. It is bright, not smokey, loads of TV screens, and we chatted to a couple of guys who then came down to watch Town.

Now maybe by going to a couple of local pubs we may attract new supporters.
