Mr J Jarvis

Aidan has just informed me that a chap he works with is a very close friend of Mr Jarvis who has stated that he is joining Slough even though he knows the fans dont like him!!

Dont blame me if this is wrong.

Unfortunately as has been seen time and time again, his 'all' on the pitch often spills over and it is not surprise that in the past we have targeted him as have supporters of other clubs. As a footballer he is a half-decent no nonsense sort of defender and his commitment to the cause is usually there to be seen. But with his disciplinary record and history with our supporters, I really don't think he would be a good signing for the club

If the rumours are true, he is desperate to play for the club. There's a lot of history between us, but sadly, if we can't find a better alternative than Jarvis, I'll say my thanks, and spend my Saturday's elsewhere.

I've made my feelings known to the club, and despite wanting the very best for the team and the club, I really don't see this as a positive step.

I don't know if I'll say goodbye like Gary, but it will make me think twice about coming…

Let’s face it Slough fans have had more than our 'moments' with him in the past and he’s always tried to wind us up and stir things up during matches.

For me it took the biscuit when he bought his drunken brother to the Windsor v’s Slough game last season - going in the Slough section behind the goal where small kids are about swearing and shouting - must have been very intimidating for them. – not on at all in my opinion.

Jarvis has always been a jerk of a player at every club he's been at. I know we are desperate for players, and as has been said on here before, some experience to help the kids. Eddie knows the score, so why alienate the core support ? Why is Jarvis so desperate to play for us, despite the previous ? Is it because he knows we are desperate, and that no one else in their right mind would touch him. For a club desperate to maintain their support whilst in exile, it seems totally crass to sign a dickhead and lose at least two hard working and valued people such as Emma and Gary.

As long as he gives his all on the pitch thats a good proffessional attitude. Arsenal never like Sol when he first joined.

thats rubbish,he was a cult hero immediatly because he snubbed the scum and we got him 4 f*ck all without paying them a penny!!!

It will be a shame if so many supporters discontinued supporting the club (especially as they have supported them through think and thin) simply because a player signs, however much of a nutcase he may be.

HI Gary if Jarvis sings for us i will stop supporting Slough town and i will chuck my Slough short in the bin. Because i think Martin will do the same when he sees this post and so will graham and kevin.

Does Jamie Jarvis signing for the club really warrant this sort of reaction from the fans?

Surely the last thing the club needs is for all the fans to stop supporting the club simply because a player whom they don't like joins.

At this moment in time, the club needs all the players they can get.

There's a simple solution Nathan, find a better alternative. If Jarvis is the best we can find, what hope do we have? If it's a budgetary issue, I'll contribute some money directly into the playing budget each week (and I hope a few more would do the same) in order for us to find an alternative.

Why would I want to watch a side which contains a person who launched a verbal attack on my wife, reducing her to tears, for no apparent reason? For a club which is doing it's best to alienate its fans with a complete lack of communication, this is hardly going to help matters and to be honest, for all the time, money and effort I've put in, I've got better things to do with my time.
