a visit to the seaside...

Uncle Urchin

Recommended Posts

is always most welcome as these the hot summer days idle by and the fresh breeze from the crouch as we wandered around the little town square was just the thing...excellent pair of fake christian dior sunglasses obtained by nett for a tenner (30 quid in romford) and the little town cinema was a real collectors item from the 50's...great stuff and houses half the price with a boat thrown in....

might move...

a warm welcome as always at the ground and cloud cover at the right time as the urchins kicked off the second friendly of the campaign....I thought the game was a little scrappy in the first half with neither team able to play the ball on a pitch that will surely have to bring the long ball to burnham this season...0-0 at halftime flattering our hosts as lee and cross conspired to miss three simple tap ins between them...

second half looked promising but ramblers were not there to make the numbers up and some crunching tackles went flying in at times...a good goal and a better second half performance from the urchins with much promise and great support from the red and white army as usual...

well done to all the urchin players old and new who look to be gelling and in my opinion look to be capable of forming a title challenging team this season ...last years old boys look more than comfortable with their new team mates and I thought burbs looked very sharp yesterday when he came on and again was unlucky not to score a couple...

good to see trenks with the ramblers captains armband and kingy playing well....thoroughly enjoyable day out....

A good welcome and sampling the delights before the game, thanks to Reg and a nice chat with DT, thanks mate, and wish you well for the season.

A very subdued Jerry but still capable of those runs, well done mate, you'll turn over many an ESL fullback this season.

Pitch was a bit sandy to say the least and needed plenty of water.

Our first goal of the season and well tucked away it was as well, could have been more but methinks once we get a couple then the floodgates will open, with Kris,Burbs and Billy all capable of scoring bags, not forgetting Dave Sadler who sat out the match with Janners.

Nice to see GK on their bench and a bit of reminiscing, where were you Left Foot? Also Dave Mc, ex Urchin, in their goal who keeps popping up against us.

Roll on the Sweeney on Tuesday for our first home game and back home for four games on the trot.

Ask anyone im generally a miserable git at times on the pitch. Kaiser don't pass me the ball, the ball hog that he is!!

For your information i had 6 crosses, 2 shanks and 1 assists that was disallowed cos Jonesy header was mistaken for a hand!!
