Code of Conduct

Does the Club have a printed Code of Conduct which patrons are required to adhere to? Clearly what is, and what is not, acceptable behaviour inside the ground is usually a matter of common sense. However, it is simply not fair when the enjoyment of the many is spoilt by the actions of the few. In extreme cases such behaviour can seem very intimidating and may even have a detrimental effect on the level of support the Club is trying to achieve.

there's a section in every programme on this, about the usual no guns, no bottles, no bombing, no heavy petting etc.

but as the programmes are not a compulsory purchase, it might be an idea to have a few posters stuck up about the place?

if last night is anything to go by, it did seem to be a rather extreme isolated incident and you'd hope that a bit of common sense would come into play in the future...

Next your being telling people what they can and cannot wear!!!

My view on this is that it should be sorted out by fellow supporters. If someone is making a idiot of him/herself its normally sorted out by a swift 'shut the [****!!****] up'. Well thats what sorted it out last season... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Not at all. It is sad though when such incidents occur and the perpetrators always feel aggreived. In today's society I personally would never tell anyone to "shut up". Call me a coward but better that than a knife in the chest.

Totally understand your point of view Sid and I would think twice about it outside of the Bridge in this day and age.....

But having stood on the Eastside for many years if anyone including myself got out of hand the situation was all ways dealt with there and then. I'm not saying we all love each other on the Eastside, but we all tolerate each other in a way that brings everyone together. Now I'm sure Luchin regrets his actions, but he has a point of view just like the next man.

I am amazed that my conduct has generated so much correspondence.

I have received a personel message from Urchinette and have apolagised on the forum if I have upset anyone. Also if a personel apolagy is required I will be at the game on saturday.

Apart from the correspondence about behaviour there has been some football related correspondence about tactics, surley this is a good thing?

Sid were you at the game?

Do you require a personel apolagy?

Or are you just jumping on a bandwaggon?

Fair point. I am sure you can sort things out as a group on the Eastside but little old me sitting on the Riverside has no chance of sorting anything out. To be honest I was trying to keep the debate general. My comments are not aimed at any particular individual. I know the incident we are talking about sparked it all off but there are general points of principle here. When is the freedom to express an opinion outweighed by the offence that opinion is causing? Don't want the discussion to get too heavy otherwise someone will drag "human rights" into it.
