How about you put the names on here of those who have been regular workers on a Sunday morning since 2001 to give them the recognition they deserve? And I don't mean those who have come once or twice.

some do what they can with the small amount of spare time they have by helping out with fund raising functions etc for the club.. whilst having young families to see at the weekends too!!

I couldn't agree more Mrs Happy. I can't make it to the Sunday sessions as it's the only day I really get to spend time with the Duchess! I have however been on the poster campaign this week and I've managed to get posters up in ten new venues. This all takes time and effort (not to metion the cost of all those pints) . I would like to get down to the club for the working party sessions but sometimes the family has to come first.

Look. This is always the way with volunteer organisations.

 

Why criticise those that dont turn up? I understood Andy's post as a sort of medal of honour for those that turn up week after week and I see nothing wrong with that.

 

There will always be a shortage of bodies to do the work just look at those that do turn up. Duke of York's efforts are just as valuable. If someone turns up for the game and spends his money in the shop. What is wrong with that?
