shotguns...flying drakes and crosses....

a fabulous late summer afternoon at the bridge saw the return of our old pals from tilburgertown...over 400 in the colourful crowd and nice to see me old mate hunster hobbling around like the old chap he is....he even came and sat with me for a while in the geriatrics unit....

and so to the game.....purdies are the best guns in the world and when billy drake is around you need 'em.....when billy went off after 75 minutes the ref asked where he was and john pulled him out of his pocket.....where he had been all game....

it was nice to see billybobbs at the bridge again and thanx billy for returning the kit....but the day belonged to the purdie not the flying drake....

and so to 'crosses'.....well we sent it about 50 and scored just once from one...but it could have been 20....today was the best 90 minutes from the 06/07 urchins so far (in my opinion)...

our crossy was excellent as usual and so was the tilburgermeisterburger and his gang in the away dugout....usual goodhearted banter with the eastside and fck knows what his assistant was sent off for...shocking decision (altho' warmly received by all sides of the bridge ) but in truth he never said a word that we could hear and we were pretty close...

ref was a bit up himself as he 'lived his dream' today at the stadium of dreams....

good day out for all methinks and three more points....

ah yes...simons goal.....

Great display today, and could have been a bigger margin on another day.

Ross Wareham had a lot better game today and put in some useful crosses. Also when he did put in a bad cross,he got very angry with himself, which shows his passsion to get his game right.

The coach was warned before he was asked to leave the touchline.I was by the dugout and all they did was moan about the linesman decisions.i did not hear any bad language.

Simon's goal was a bit special to say the least, looked good live but the replay show how far he ran and the challenge that he avoided. Quality goal on a great autumn day.

Probably the best display so far, as others have said. Can't wait till we fire on all cylinders either in the FA cup or against Witham.
