Pitch and Put................................

ETFC somewhere at the bottom of the pecking order!

Roy has worked extremely hard and has given over many hours of his time to turning a dust bowl into a pitch worthy of him winning the groundsman of the year title a little while ago.

ETFC supporters have given over their hard earned cash to the club through gate receipts and through many other income generating schemes in order to finance the resources for Roy to do the job.

So what do we end up with? A fixture list on the Brimmo notice board which shows that there will be 4 games on the main pitch between Tuesday and Sunday!

Whatever happened to the two senior teams and the ETFC Ladies only using the pitch agreement?

Something for the AGM?

Good post Andy.

Seems a little strange that Roy works his *!**X*!! off to get the pitch into a "playable surface" ie with grass on it and someone, I assume within Brimsdown, does everything possible to sod it up.

Roy is a great bloke and has served both EFC and now ETFC for years, but how long can he carry on and why should he bother when the pitch is being carved up by so many games ?

Perhaps it is all to do with pitch fees !

It will be a mud heap by December.

Too right Andy, definately something for the AGM. Just one of the many things that needs to be discussed regarding some of the "Brimmo" People & their attitude towards us at ETFC being at Goldsdown Road.

Funny, they seem to like the cash we put behind their bar!

And the money we paid to get the Floodlights sorted, plus the running repairs on the ground & equipment we do. Now you've really got me started Grrrrr!!!!

anywhere else we can play at???

Oops I left this bit behind

I wish there was somewhere else we could play as its getting more & more difficult just to get the Board Room set up now.

I feel for "Super Roy" as he gets the pitch looking fine & dandy and then "THEY" decide, hey lets let another team play on it. Thats the reason for the "long grass"

(I'm beginning to seethe again !!!)

We dont need a goat as we must show loyalty to what we already have even though nobody can do his job anywhere near as well but they did well at another position at a lower level a while back!

No, we must bring a goat back that used to chew our grass till his teeth fell out, he can still do a job for us.

Was the "agreement" a formal agreement? If so it would be enforcable (naturally via a quiet word in the first instance). If not.........
You cant enforce against something thats not ours .There seems to be a problem with brimsdown and its quite plain to see they dont think that much of us . The answer is to find somewhere else but the council seems to be unable or unwilling to help . The word is Stalemate.
