The Great Uduma Kalu

Recommended Posts

If that is where Uduma is now i wish him well - but as LATO has said, he failed to make the starting line up of both Haringey and Ruilsip so i dont know how he is going to fair at WGC. but we wish him well - i bet you tried to tap him up for KTFC!!!

3praise - Do you really wish Uduma well at Welwyn Garden City or would you like him to fall flat on his face, I often take what you say with a pinch of salt.

It seems he played his part in WGC's victory over Whitewebbs on Saturday. In a severely depleted WGC side he started as a substitute and his contribution when he came on was;

"Late on in the game, substitute Kalu had two chances to add to City's tally, but a combination of good defending and a bone- hard pitch caused the young striker to fire high and wide when it looked easier to either hit the target or force a save from a largely untested visiting goalkeeper."

This is obviously either made up or hugely exaggerated, normally when a report says that it was easier to score it means the exact opposite and is not necessarily a Ronnie Rosentahl type situation. Welwyn Garden City must be rubbing their hands at getting Uduma purely on the back of him going to Hertfordshire University in Hatfield and if he doesn't score on his debut on Saturday at Kingsbury London Tigers I'll happily donate £20 to Football Man's favourite charity.

Allow me to clarify the position, if Uduma sets foot on the hallowed Silver Jubilee Park turf on Saturday and fails to score then I will happily donate £20 to the Potters Bar Charity Cup Benevolent Fund, if in the unlikely event he doesn't play a part in the game then obviously I won't.

Here's a lengthy press report from the Welwyn Garden City v Wingate and Finchley friendly on 1 August, it sounds like Uduma had a blinder:

Here's one for you folks. Guess who is back and playing for Kentish Town which obviously explains their improvement in form of late, he scored the winning goal at Hillingdon Borough in the FA Cup:

LATO - So were you at AFC Hayes v Cinderford Town yesterday, your silence would indicate that you were, did Craige Tomkins play for Hayes.

Horace - Yes I see that from the informative match report below, clearly that's why Kentish Town didn't go on to win the game as I gather they were the better side overall:

Well you're the Club spokesperson on here, losing Uduma to Chalfont St Peter must have been a huge body blow
