The new Haringey Borough FC thread

Recommended Posts

I know, I know... but unfortunately this also applies to virtually every other thread as well and would be a full time occupation to keep it all in check!!

PS On a totally different note it was good to catch up with Bill and the ressies on Sat, we caught you on an off day and only lost 3-1! Methinks if we had your keeper we'd of won that one...

As we're using this thread for anything, I believe it was our keeper's first outing - was he good then?

Bringing things back to Haringey Boro', Rhodes might be interested to know that I had a rather good chat with Johnny Flynn on Saturday. Regretably the conversation took place at the entrance of a club boardroom, so I am not at liberty to divulge the details.

Yes Rhodes, if my memory serves me right, I think you may have been briefly mentioned at one point.

Football Man - A comendable try but we'll see what Uncle Urchin has to say when he spots your post later on and comes out to play

He'll probably say what he said last time you tried this particular stir-up, which was to ask you not to involve him in your petty squabbles (or words to that effect)!

That's interesting, so I assume Johnny Flynn went to Grosvenor Vale to watch Ruislip Manor v Aylesbury Vale when he heard 'our' game with Sport London e Benfica was called off. I'll hopefully be seeing him this evening in our local pub so when he's on his fourth or fifth pint I'll ask him to reveal all about the conversation he had with you

clippy - I'm still waiting for you to confirm which post you were referring to in the highlighted bit above.

Football Man - Okay, here's your starter for ten until I find Uncle Urchin's original post. Why would Uncle let you have it with both barrels like he did above if you didn't upset him

I thought a single bloke like you would be out on the town on his third or fourth pint by now on new years eve, you're showing your age. I meant finding the thread that contains your spat with Uncle Urchin which I believe is the same one with all the FoRM nonsense, I referred to Uncle Urchin's post because he was so incandescent with rage when, if I recall, you suggested someone from Hornchurch was responsible for the dressing room break in

Well, you obviously recall incorrectly (again!). I have only ever posted once about the dressing room incident at Hornchurch - and that was merely to state that a break-in had happened. All other communication regarding that incident I have been dealt with privately with either Uncle Urchin or Wader. Good luck finding whatever post it is that you're looking for. You'll need it! grin

Don't you have some players who live in Herts, UU? Guess some of their mates would too! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

ah kev...you have changed your post...good job I took the precaution of quoting it....
you really do not want to get into this mate I can assure you....having made yourself busy demanding apologies from us all and then retracting such knee jerk demands...perhaps you should have left well alone...
but you couldn't could you as your ego is rampant so here we go....
I know...you know..and every fcker that has watched the dvd knows....inc the police...that one of your subs did the dirty deed....we just can't prove which one as they both look the same on the dvd......
you don't like that...sorry....then prove me wrong and sue me.....

Football Man - Okay, here are the key exchanges between you and Uncle Urchin, it's not often I see Uncle in a genuinely foul mood but he's obviously not a happy bunny and you've stayed well out of his hair ever since

Yep, that was where I was making the point that some players live quite a distance from the clubs they play for and it shouldn't be assumed that because someone lives in a certain area that they play for a club in that area. UU came back with the post you quoted and the rest of the conversation was moved to a private discussion (you will recall UU telling you that I am capable of giving as good as I get with him).

Much to your annoyance, no doubt, everyone involved has moved on from that incident and there is no mileage in it for you to try and stir things up now. Nice try, though.

This was the bit that made me smile as clearly Uncle Urchin thinks you have a massive ego problem, something I have been wrongly accused of having in the past. As Uncle is very rarely, if at all, wrong and is an experienced judge of character, we can therefore take it as read that your ego is as wide as the Grand Canyon.

How on earth is that toning down my accusations and backtracking, Uncle Urchin is conspicuous by his absence at the moment but surely his post that I quoted above says it all.

Manorborn - I met Johnny Flynn this morning and he confirmed that he attended the Ruislip Manor v Aylesbury Vale fixture on Saturday at Grosvenor Vale after finding out 'our' game with Sport London e Benfica was postponed. I didn't press him on what was discussed but he was very complimentary about your Club although you could have at least allowed him into your boardroom for some hospitality having travelled all that way.
