Bury make offers to trialist trio

Bury have offered contracts to Jim Provett, Ben Leonard and Ahmed Dean who had all been on trial at Gigg Lane.

Goalkeeper Provett, 24, has spent his entire career at Hartlepool, while Leonard is a midfielder from Sunday League football in Sheffield.

 

Full-back Dean, 22, is a Sierra Leone international who has played for several non-league clubs.

 

On the Bury site it advises that Dean scored the only goal in a win over Altrincham but that "he will have to take a drastic drop in wages if he is to sign the deal offered to him." Also, "He is a Londoner coming up North to Bury and that is causing us a problem in terms of getting anywhere near the offer he is looking for."
