I think you're both right and Canvey Island are below Enfield Town in the table. See you on the 13th at Goldsdown Road Yellow. It will be interesting to see which of our two teams will be playing the Saints in the Ryman Premier next season!

We're too inconsistent in the league. Capable of brilliance one game and then look awful the next.

Hopefully Saturday was our turning point.

IW, it's only fair to give "Dave" ten games to show what he can do.

UU, nothing too much wrong with Essex, but we've been there and done it many times. As you are aware you get around a little more in the Conf South. There is more to life than whizzing up and down the A12 (and A13).

Some very attractive places to go in the Southern League especially down in the Westcountry but not much fun spending half your time on the M25 going to games.

Ignore my above post as it's come out totally wrong. I meant some of the trips down to the Westcountry etc are preferable than hiking around the M25 to Essex if you were to go into the Ryman league.

Familiarity breeds contempt. You were going to the likes of Hendon, Harrow, Carshalton etc three or four years ago.

There's some good trips down to Kent in Ryman Prem but not enough to maintain interest and there's definitely more variety in the Southern League.

Rumour has it if Chelmsford don't go up they'll move over to the Southern League instead of staying in the Ryman. Maybe they think it's an easier competition to win.

We wouldn't win the Southern or the Ryman so it doesn't really matter!

A look at the Conference National shows that the current bottom four would all go into the Conference North and that none would drop into the South. With just ourselves dropping into it last year this means the South division will probably become weaker than the North. It probably is already.

Kettering a couple of seasons ago thought exactly that and failed miserably.
