Wellingborough Town spent nearly all the 70's and 80's in the Southern League, then struggled near the bottom of the United Counties League for a dozen or so years before folding in 2002 and re-forming three years later. They're in better shape now, with three top eight finishes in the last five seasons. They wear Staines Town colours (which gives us all the incentive we need to win ) and they're nicknamed The Doughboys", after a local delicacy of ham hock and vegetables wrapped in pastry.
