littlehampton Posted August 28, 2015 Share Posted August 28, 2015 Saturdays game against 'The Gulls' at The Prospects Stadium is definitely a six-pointer match for both clubs. Neither club has made the best of starts to the new season, and Canvey currently sit 18th in the RPL table, with Town just below in 20th position. Last season Town lost the corresponding fixture 2-1 after leading 1-0 at the interval. Interestingly, Town have made an almost identical start to last season, taking only 4 points from a possible fifteen. Whilst it is not the start anyone wanted or expected, it is early days and, as we all know, the League is never won or lost at this early stage of the season. That said, an away win would be very welcome to help steady nerves. Make no mistake, this match is a proverbial banana-skin for both clubs. Neither can afford a slip up, both will fancy their chances, and both need a confidence boosting win to get back on track. All to play for, so lets do the business guys. Should be interesting. Very disappointing for everyone and it will be interesting to hear what people have to say about the match and performance. It'll all come good when the first team players are back from injury, no Corey Joe Doyle Stan Claudio. That's half the starting X1 plus Tyler was sub. Fringe players are being found wanting. However confidence is taking a hit and our supporters can be very miserable when the chips are down.
