Apparently we have 17 players currently on contract, now call me an anorak but when I totted up the names of the players that I assume are on contract it actually totalled 18,on the new website Protheroe isn't mentioned for some reason.
The players I think are contracted are as follows:
1.MITTEN
2.WILKERSON
3.GLEDHILL
4.SKINNER
5.PORTER
6.SHEARER
7.MOORE
8.DUKU
9.ROUSE
10.SAUNDERS
11.JACKSON
12.SIDIBE
13.McKIMM
14.PROTHEROE
15.DRURY
16.PINNOCK
17.ESSENDOH
18.OMOYINMI
Have I listed someone who maybe isn't contracted?answers on a postcard please.

Is Duku still on contract? I thought they were going to wait and see how he got on with his injury.

looks a very strong squad to me. Definately the best in the history of the club. Brian should feel very proud of Andy and Ade to assemble such a powerful team whilst remaining a part time outfit.
All we have to do is play some great football.
I personally thing that a top 8 finish would be a great effort, a play off place would be outstanding.

Cannot wait for Saturday, my 4 year old daughter will hopefully be cheering the team on with me!!!

C'mon you REDDDDSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah i counted the same as Bloodnock, and the same players looks like it will be 20 or 21 players, shame Holloway went to Farnborough though thats how it goes hopefully a couple of these trialist will pass the test, or even Steve Perkins will jet back home.

I was under the impression that Duku had been offered a contract which he initially turned down and then he was offered an improved deal after the Folkestone friendly but has as yet not signed but my source may be wrong.

It shows how far we've come when we're able to turn away trialists from Brentford - ok they may not be the greatest league club, but coming to us would still have represented a drop of a couple of leagues (and they'd played quite a few games for Brentford as well) so you would have expected them to potentially be able to add something to the squad.

As I haven't had the benefit of attending any of the friendlies, are any of the trialists strikers?
I still feel we do need a target man, similar to Roy, to obviously cover for injuries loss of form etc.

Have not seen any games either but i think Carl Dennis-Wilson and Jay Smith are striker's not sure if they are competition for Roy though but i agree we need that.
Thought i was going to miss the Gills game due to the proms concert at Rochester Castle but fortunatly the women are going to sort out the seating arrangements, so great i can go, only problem is i am going with three Gills fans and 1 Charlton fan so i will have fun.
