For those who kindly posted kind PM's and kind words of encouragement here is an update.

For those new to this, brief paragraph summary, Dad was diagnosed with Terminal Cancer - Stomach Cancer, they were able to remove the Cancer and his Stomach and stopped it from spreading and killing him, it is now not terminal. He was in London Hosp for 100 days in March-June, then in Re-hab from June-July about a month then sent home on the 22nd July.

Status now, he was finally given a wheel chair and stair rail and lives downstairs, but least he is in the same house as my mum.

Last Sunday after I watched the U18's I went to my Mum and Dads Ruby Anniversay Meal with the whole family, my dad walked from my car to the restaurant, he was not in the wheelchair but, on walking sticks. It was his first time out since March, he looked so good he has lost alot of weight and now down to about 10 stone.

He looks so good. Brings a lump to my throat just writing this. Gradually he will be able to do more walking, this time next year he should be fully recovered.

My thoughts are with you Mark.

Sounds a bit trite, I know, but as I told you before - We've been there, TWICE !!

As Dave Allen used to finish his shows, "May your God be with you !!"

Having lost my mum to this deradful disease Mark I am rooting wholeheartedly for your dad to make it. I am so glad he shows such progress. The one thing it teaches you I think is that the most important things in life are time and people, everything else is secondary.
