I know a lot of the CCL were bovril about ryman 2 until we jumped into your worlds soooooooo!

 

Here's how things looked before teams got promoted, moved sideways and what not!

Ryman Days. I got reminded of them on Saturday as we trawled around the M25 for another battering in Essex.

Ha Ha. How did you get on with that bird in M+S at lunch time

and I played for Camberley when there was only 1 ryman league(or Isthmian league),what aleague that was luckilly for us they created north and south leagues and we were relegated

and relegated and relegated. There was a rumour they kept creating new division just to keep us in it

even Barnet were in that league and they had a certain Mr Jimmy greaves in their side, thats the sort of player we were up against

i saw him play for barnet in midfield down at the ground that must not be named, i remember wondering, "why?"

I am told it was in fact his last season in football and rumour has it he was a recovering alcoholic

he was, he's been quite open about that. Were Barnet in the Isthmian then or was that the old Southern league?

I do beleive that it was in the FA Cup and Barnet were in the Southern League. Didnt realise you were quite that old Duncs.

In 1975 Barnet were relegated back to the Southern League Division One South but two years later they won the championship and returned to the Southern League Premier. It was during this period that many famous names played for the club including Jimmy Greaves, Marvin Hinton, Bob McNab, Terry Mancini and John Fairbrother. Jimmy Greaves, although playing in midfield, still ended the season leading goal scorer with 27 goals.
