The only David Humphreys i know used to play Rugby for Ireland (and that is because i just googled him..)

Absolutely, altered it. Many thanks. I did get the Jeremy Kyle allusion to Rhodes correct though did I?

No no no, don't go getting me into trouble with Horace! I'd meant the comparison with John Humphries to be complimentary in a non ar$e licking fashion.

The comparison between Kyle and Rhodes however....

Mr Rhodes, since your racism has since been downgraded to "prejudiced non-discriminator" I am thinking about whether to re-open diplomatic relations. In the meantime I will answer this particular question.

No, the year that Arsenal beat Liverpool I was at home with my dad watching it on the tellyvisual box. The following year when we lost at Wembley to Leeds I was also unfortunately unable to attend. We were working class you see, rabid socialists and without a pot to pi$$ in, even if we could have afforded the pi$$.

Interesting, my dad wanted to take me to the Arsenal v Leeds and Arsenal v Swindon League Cup Finals in 1968 and 1969 but my mum felt I was still a bit too young to go, I believe you on the other hand are a few years older than me so it's disappointing to hear that you missed seeing live, ie not on tv, one of the best footballing moments of the glorious 70's era.

I think not.........

i was at that one!!!

although not as lucky as Rhodes, who seems to have attended every match ever played, i have also been fortunate enough to attend...

Spurs v Anderlecht UEFA Cup Final 1984 and Arsenal v Man Utd FA Cup Final 2005
I had a ticket for Wolves v Notts Forest in the 1980 League Cup Final, but sold it, on the night before the game!

I was not disappointed Rhodes, I was nine years old and happy if I got a lump of grit for Christmas let alone saw Arsenal winning a cup final on TV. Going to Wembley was for posh people of course. Are you posh? hmm...

Anyway, any true football fan of Arsenal would say that the best moment for the club during the 70s was beating ManU 3 - 2 in 1979 at Wembley. Are you really a true football person?

TheDoogisKing - I don't recall you ever admitting to being a Wolves fan on here despite your 'name', so were you also at the 1971/1972 all British UEFA Cup Final First Leg at Molineux or the Second Leg at White Hart Lane.
