Players will have to say whilst playing away from Cove they will be willing to give back their wages as a charitable donation. This can also be the case for contract players. If the club pays them the money and they wish to donate the money back to the club then it is their choice. Or just charge them £50 for a packet of crisps.

Its not the CCL or other clubs which need to rally around Cove FC, its Cove FC themselves who need to first.

I would not be happy letting someone use my club for free and then seeing the wages being dished out.

Can I just put straight a couple of things regarding the contamination of the pitch at Cove, Firstly Cove have been working with both Thames Waterr and Rushmoor Borough Council to ensure that the pitch is cleansed and cleared of any sort of debris. To that end Cove have insisted that soil samples are taken from various parts of the pitch over a period and to be tested by a laborotory. Secondly we are insisting on a report stating that the pitch has a clean bill of health that we will lodge with both the F.A, , Combined Counties and our own insurers.

As for compensation regarding loss of revenue Cove are taking legal advice to ensure that the club recoups all monies they have had to pay out for loss of revenue, hire of ther pitches for training and games etc.

We would like to thank Hartley Wintney who have been in touch offering help if we require it and we are looking into this,

We will be keeping all players informed of whats happening but we would like to thank them for their positive manner on Saturday.

It is hard at the moment but Koo knows that everyone on the committee are working night and day to get this sorted out.
