For us it went pretty well until extra time of the playoffs semi-final when we seemed to just stop playing against Concord Rangers. They went on to win the final against Lowestoft. HKP Posted May 12, 2013 Share Posted May 12, 2013 Very good, achieved what we aimed to at the start and gained promotion. Almost got to Wembley but came up against a very good side in the semi-final. Probably would have won the League if it had not been for our very well known fixture problem in the past month or two. One game left for the full island side against the old enemy... The Mayor Of Simpleton Posted May 12, 2013 Share Posted May 12, 2013 For Gloucester City, a great end to the season on the pitch recording our best Step 2 finish since 2004. However, off the pitch, a shambles with the new stadium and even the MP wading in with a design that looks drawn up by a school kid and would not even be suitable for Western League standards. Just about keeping the wolves from the door, but those running the club have no idea and will pursue a new stadium on the site of the old Meadow Park at Sudmeadow if it kills them (or us). Finances are more stretched than Ann Widdecombe's knickers and we may face a demotion next season regardless of where we end up in the league.
