UTTER CRAP

Wat goes on in Andy Fords mind during games Drury and Walshie were terrible today surely one should have been replaced by Perkins and then puting Owen out wide, to go 2 up at half time and end up drawing 2-2 against that lot is a disgrace i thought the first half performance was ok but second was utter crap wat goes on at half time wat the hell does he say 2 them it happens week in week out at home.

We should have been 5 up by half time. There was a huge gulf between the teams up to that point. I'd estimate 85:15 on possession percentages. I was considering who my man of the match would be & the contenders, at that point, were Drury, Shearer & Walshe.

2nd half we allowed ourselves to be hustled & bustled out of it in midfield, where they definitely won the battle in this period.

All credit to WSM & their management team. They came out after the break, with a definite plan & made it work. We were lightweight, gave them acres of space in front of the defence & cannot really complain.

Still pretty confident we'll win the replay. Has to be the right mindset though. They're nothing special, but they're no mugs either. We won't do it without breaking sweat & staying focused for the whole game.

I dont think that Crap is the right word to use, however, it's difficult to find another that gets to the point as quickly.

First half seemed ok, given that we have no real stricker but we soon settled into there level playing well below our ability, seems strange that we play so well against the big clubsand than turn out like this.

As to the question what goes on in Andy Fords head, we all know that straight after half time the teams performance is woeful and today was no exception. We could risk being done up the trades descriptions act, since we are charging people to watch football when you could see better for free on the rec on any sunday.

First half was ok, great finish from Abbey. I hope he isnt too seriously injured as I would rather he was on then pinnock or evans, neither of whom have had many games recently. Second half was naf. i feel they should have been down to 10 but I dont think that would have changed the outcome much. All credit to them for their equaliser, very well taken.

Also what is up with Duku? He seems to be unable to hoof the ball away when under pressure, he sliced it a couple of times today and in both times against margate.

Andy half time team talk must have been along the lines of:

"What the F*!@k are you doing? I don't want a cup run! Now get out there and play like you did against Dover!"

It is a shame that the excellent hard work and performances that I witnessed at Dover's ground (Margate) and at home against Margate, and then holding Chester (again!!!) is thrown down the plug hole by performances like Dover and the 2nd half today.

They seemed to lose all interest in the match 2nd half.

The lads must have had used ear plugs at last weeks game then! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

First half today wasn't bad but it was NOT okay! WSM were poor defensively and we should have sown the game up by the break. Team was taking too much time, too many touches and trying to walk it into the net. We could have repeated Abbey's goal over and over, easy. I'm beginning to think that very few of our players have a footballing brain.

You could be right Paulo....What kind of team gets caught on the break in the 90th minute when they are 2:1 up?

Stupid question really its obviously the same team that lets in 90th minute goals against Burton, Forest Green, Exeter, Barnet, Dagenham, and Notts County.

You'd think we would be getting used to it by now.

We need a WIN against Halifax. Failure must lead to spending some money on a couple of new players.

Clearly they thought they'd won it by half time and the WSM players would probably have just settled for keeping the scoreline respectable but once you drop the pace it's not so easy to pick it up again and WSM suddenly realised they were in with a chance.

Andy can now use Alf Ramseys famous speech about you've won it once and now go and do it again down at their place, but why didn't he make substitutions to liven it up a bit?

Also some practice on corners wouldn't go amiss, Walshe put one into the side netting and others went straight into the keepers hands, otherwise its the short corner routine which never comes off!
