Interesting photographs, and match report, from Wealdstone v Harefield United in a 2016/17 Middlesex FA Senior Charity Cup First Round tie, at Grosvenor Vale on Tuesday 25 October 2016, then National League South Club Wealdstone unsurprisingly won 4-1 against then SSML Division One Harefield United however Cristian Barrett's first minute goal gave the Stones a fright with Gerry Francis looking on:

Wealdstone v Harefield United

Christian Barrett was a great clubman for Southall FC before he joined Harefield United FC I think he still turns out for there reserves.

In 2009/10 Harefield United reached the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round and drew Maidstone United at Preston Park on Saturday 26 September 2009 having beaten Haringey Borough, Biggleswade Town and Maldon Town en route. The then Isthmian League Premier Division Club were unfortunately a bridge too far winning 2-0 however had they not scored on the stroke of half time it might have been a different story as Richmond Agyeman and Adam Willis missed good chances in the second half where the hosts were the better side in front of a large crowd of 323.

Unfortunately the 2020/21 SSML season has been unceremoniously 'curtailed' as was officially announced by the FA last Wednesday that 'Steps 3-6 will be curtailed' although, in the case of the Herts Senior County League, who appeared to 'jump the gun' on Thursday, it has already been declared null and void with no promotion or relegation taking place, the League are preparing to run an end of season League Cup competition for all its Divisions. That includes the Premier Division where Harefield United Reserves campaign is sadly at a premature conclusion after just nine League fixtures with their last outing on Saturday 12 December when beating high flying Royston Town Reserves 1-0 at Preston Park with a Tashan Jordan strike. That followed more than a six week sabbatical between 28 October and 12 December without kicking a ball in anger for the frustrated Reserve side when beating Baldock Town 6-3, at Preston Park on Wednesday 28 October, in a prestigious Aubrey Cup tie, Gary Burrell, Petrit Krasniqi, Archie Oakes, Zak Jackson and a brace from Ross Shorto were the scorers. The First Team also last tasted action on Saturday 12 December with a 3-1 defeat at Edgware Town and, again, prior to that, Jason Shaw's men had been toe punting their heels since Tuesday 3 November when beating North Greenford United 2-1 at Preston Park:

Further to the announcement by the Herts Senior County League last Thursday where they declared their season null and void, here is an update from League Secretary Scott Patmore who you may have heard talking to Ollie Bayliss on the BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show on Sunday:

Photographs from Kempston Rovers v Harefield United in a 2016/17 FA Cup First Qualifying Round tie, at Hillgrounds Road on Saturday 3 September 2016, Kempston Rovers won an exciting contest 3-2. Harefield United had beaten Northampton ON Chenecks and Wembley en route, both after hard-fought replays, and unsurprisingly found their Southern League Division One Central opponents a bridge too far with two tiers between them despite putting in an excellent performance, Joshua Collis and Francesco Altomare scored the goals:

The draw for the end of season Herts Senior County League Premier Division Cup competition was made earlier today which sees Harefield United Reserves in a group with Glenn Sports, Belstone and Sandridge Rovers, there are four groups of four teams and the winners of each group go into a Semi Final which gives all Premier Division Club's at least three matches. Jamie Derby's men can count themselves unfortunate having been grouped with Belstone who topped the table prior to the curtailment with eight wins from ten games however the sides had yet to lock horns this season as was strangely also the case with Glenn Sports and Sandridge Rovers.

Confirmation of Harefield United Reserves group in the end of season Herts Senior County League Premier Division Cup competition that will get under way on Saturday 3 April. It is not confirmed as yet who they will meet at Preston Park however hopefully that will be 'the mighty' Belstone as opposed to travelling to their Medburn Ground home in Radlett where Belstone won seven successive fixtures prior to a surprise 2-2 draw with Cuffley in their last outing on Tuesday 15 December before the curtailment of the Herts Senior County League campaign. Sandridge Rovers may pose more of a threat to Jamie Derby's men than Glenn Sports going by their respective visits to Belstone however Glenn Sports won an epic encounter 5-4 at Royston Town Reserves whereas Sandridge Rovers were given a 6-0 hiding at Garden Walk:

A very disappointing 6-1 defeat for Harefield United Reserves on Saturday in the first of their Herts Senior County League Premier Division Cup group fixtures, Belstone must be rubbing their hands at the prospect of visiting Preston Park this Saturday (10 April) for the first of their group fixtures.
