FT Hadley 4 #thewares 0

No argument with the result as a well drilled Hadley side forced us into making errors which resulted in three first half goals and a fourth late on. However we kept true to our philosophy of passing the ball and it's another good learning curve for Rak and his players.

The Wares' put in a impressive performance this afternoon on our return to SJP beating a strong Oxhey Jets side 4-3

Playing some silky passing football we led throughout, 3-1 up at the break we dominated large periods of play especially in the last quarter of either half and could easily have added to our tally.

The Jets flew out of the traps early in the second period and drew level with two goals, one of which was a debatable penalty awarded.

Despite being pegged back to 3-3 it was Edgware who finished the far stronger and gained the win

Plenty of positives to be taken from this afternoons friendly win

Tomorrow evening we have a friendly with fellow SSML side London Colney Prior to lockdown in December 'The Blue Boys' were not in the best of form, they had W1 D1 L9 and were bottom of the league with a GD of - 27 They have since made a managerial change and have seen a upturn

Match report from Tuesday evening"s 3-5 defeat at London Colney

A 5-3 win for our hosts London Colney this evening in difficult playing conditions. 'The Wares' had led twice, first half goals by Assistant Manager Eddie Munnelly, and Oltian Klosi, gave us a 2-1 lead before being pegged back at the break.

We re-took the lead early on in the second period through a Tobi Coker penalty.

We found ourselves level again it must be said against the run of play as London Colney scored immediately from the re start.

We went looking for a equaliser but fell behind as the hosts added a fourth.

'The Wares' keeper Charlie Patmore was replaced by Aram late on unfortunately for the youngster he conceded a fifth and final goal on the night.

After the game, Rak Hudson said, "Our young side need these type of games to build experience and non-league 'know-how'.

We know where we are going right and where we are going wrong

These experiences will serve us well next season when we will face a wide range of opposition and playing conditions.

We couldn't find our rhythm tonight, and even though we dominated for large parts of the game, in the end we didn't do enough to win the game.

Each match is a learning opportunity for us and a step forward, win, lose or draw.

I'd like to thank London Colney for hosting us and wish then the best for the coming season.

They worked hard and deserved their win this evening."

Up Next! On Saturday we welcome Colney Heath to Silver Jubilee Park for a behind closed doors friendly. 'The Magpies' have enjoyed success over the last two Curtailed seasons and look to be one of the clubs that'll be rewarded with a promotion place in May 2020/21

DON'T MISS A MOMENT!

Why pay over 1K to watch so called North London Giants when £30 buys a Season Ticket at a North (West) London Football club with a proud history where you'll be welcomed and feel inclusive by name not a number!

FT

'The Wares' 0 Colney Heath 4

Despite being a friendly, the match was a ill tempered affair in which the game threatened to boil over several times.

Despite the scoreline a makeshift 'Wares' side kept playing their passing style of football.

Unfortunately our habit of conceding poor goals continues with four conceded in the first half.

As a club we stand against all forms of discrimination and abuse therefore we will refrain from posting on our Social Media channels from 3pm on Friday April 30 until 11.59pm on Monday May 3.

So you won't be reporting on the friendly fixture with Potton United all weekend then, that's a shame as it should be an interesting one, hopefully I can get hold of the result by 3.50pm on Saturday and post it on here.

Edgware Town FC completed their post season friendly schedule this afternoon with a disappointing 2-5 home defeat to Potton United.

As has been the case in all six post season fixtures, it was defensive errors which cost 'The Wares' dearly. In total Edgware conceded 24 goals in 6 games, clearly lots for new manager Rakatahr Hudson to work on.

Post Season results in full

A London C L 3-5

H Colney H L 0-4

What do we make of this, Edgware Town no longer appear to be offering free season tickets to residents in the NW9 and HA8 postcode areas:

May be an image of 1 person and text that says "Season Tickets for a tenner! £10 * *Only available To residents in the NW9 and HA8 postcodes #thewares @edgwaretownfc EDGWARE TOWN F.C. Sp Adobe Spark"

No income since last December that's what you can make of it!

We're doing ST for £30 local residents for £10 you won't find many better deals out there at our level.

Why are you even interested, we're NOT a SSML club anymore!
