I am sick to death of this poxy money grabbing governemnt. I run my own small business that places people injobs and creates wealth for the UK. I pay my taxes properly but now the governemnt has slapped a tax on dividend payments that will cost my company at least another £2k per year (possibly more when we see the fianl bill). I thought they wanted to encourage small business to succeed.

We had the unfair and ludicrously expensive Construction Industry Training Board [CITB] Levy imposed upon our small business. In our last year of trading they demanded, and got [cos you can't escape it] £3,500.

We wouldn't have minded if we were a large enough company to take on apprentices, but we weren't!

The Levy subsidised the likes of Costains, Balfour Beaty etc etc.

And this was under the Tories!!!The so-called small-businessman's Party!!!

Stuff 'em all. Stuff 'em all!!!!!

But this is the problem CANV old son. Today's pensioners don't get a fair living pension. It could be argued that today's young scamps, if they're not too busy knocking you guys off pavements, have the oppurtunity to start their own pension plans, saving splans and whatever (but I have my reservations - you've got to put your money somewhere and some clammy handed git i.e. the "financial services" industry will get his hands on it).

However, we handsome young lads in our late youth, i.e. 40 somethings, miss out both ways. Won't get a decent state pension by the look of it, but don't have enough time to build up a decent private one. Not without paying some riduculous unaffordable sum every month.

On top of which it now looks like they want me to keep working until I'm 70! Bug ger that for a laugh, I'm fed up with it now!

Not to mention the latest blow private pensions will receive. This week the European Parliament passed a new law instituted by that dipstick Greek Feminist Commissioner (now gone, thank heavens)to the effect that all insurance shall have sex taken out of the calculations.

The effect of this when implemented will be that all males getting annuities with their pension money, will get a lower rate of pension. Currently women get a lower rate as on average they live longer and the pension has to be paid for a greater time. Now with a "unisex rate", they will get more and men get less.

The counter to this is that women's motor insurance premiums will increase by about 40% as they will now have to take on the risk for all the boy racers and drinkers. Ho hum!
