Windsor 1 Billericay 1

Cant help but feel a bit disappointed only getting one point in a game we were so dominant in.

The first half was totally camped in the Windsor half Steve Forbes getting our deserved goal. The second half Windsor came into it slightly more but Blues were still the better side.

An awful defensive error gifted Windsor their goal and therefore two points slipped away. The game finished with Wareham and Cousins upfront after Bertie had limped off. Both main strikers could be missing on Tuesday.

Staying positive though there were a number of good performances, Steve Forbes had his best game for Billericay so far and apart from that one slip the defence were very solid.

Team

Gothard

Henty

McSweeney

Trott

Kerrigan

Heeroo

Forbes

Hunter

Dormer

Brayley (Wareham)

Stowe (Cousins)

Although you where way way waaaaaay on top in the first half second half was more even. Our goalie was forced into making some amazing saves but we had two great chances let down by poor touches from players and a few close shaves. Draw was about fair but i'd think if we had Gomis and the other Holsgrove in midfield and Skinner and Kersley playing we'd of won that. At least everyone left happy with the result of the footie match afterwards. Well bar Nobby (Welsh) and his Wife Cindy (Scot!)

What were you getting so wound up about at the end with the ref? He was crap for both teams!

No that is not all we've got. 4 key players missing from key areas of the pitch. Just because your a Full time club doesn't mean your fans have to be full time arseholes.

We had chances you had chances. You had more of the ball but we still made 4 very good chances whilst 2 of your best chances where long range shots. See you in Billericay. I'll be the one laughing at your fans over reacting

In answer to your first Ryan, we were watching the game on the pitch which Billericay clearly dominated the first half as we did in the second, as mentioned by your board members in the bar after the game.

That is not all we've got by a long way. We had eight players missing todays game and had to get three signed in an emergency and others from our reserves.

Just accept the fact that the draw was a fair result and we both enjoyed a half each where we dominated the game.

First half Billericay dominated - we all agree on that.

Second half when Windsor allegedly dominated, we still had more shots on target and more chances and maybe half the possession. Gothard has had to make one save of note all half, Martini 4. Still, I'm sure they can look forward to reading a match report in their "excellent" programme at their next home game which will, no doubt, "dominate" this years programme awards!!!

Once again we have gone away from home and given the opposition a 1-1 hiding. Quite how anyone can suggest a draw was a fair result over the course of 90 minutes is clearly wearing queenly tinted spectacles.

In the first half we were totally dominant, our midfield quartet were superb as a unit, the defence untested, and brayley was outstanding. We totally deserved our lead and as per should have had more to show.

I thought the second half was entertaining and in terms of clear chances even, although I still thought we looked the better side. Gothard made a couple of good saves and they missed a couple of clear chances but Martini saved twice from Cousins and Hunter and Stowe and Brayley both fired wide when well placed and we forced a succession of corners towards the end.

Trotty will be disappointed with his error. It will be interesting to see what Justin does when Pat comes back as 5 into 4 don't go. I have to say I was also disappointed with Stowey. We all know his talent and desperately want him to do well but it seems to me when his time comes to step upto the plate he just doesn't seem to be able to manage it.

The referee was inept and so were his linesmen, one of whom confessed to not knowing the offside rule after the game - and this is inept and not biased for the benefit of the Windsor massive. At the risk of being a full time areshole I have to say that Windsor's programme was the worst I have seen in 7 years of watching football at this level.

Despite the fact that in a miracle approaching bread and fish proportions we seem to have climbed to third plaice (sorry) I am a bit concerned that all these dropped points will hurt us in the final analysis. I suppose its ok after 12 games but let's hope it's sorted soon.

It looks like we go into Tuesday's game against Cheshunt without our two first choice strikers and from what I've seen I'd be tempted to give Cousins a start up top. Hopefully we can squeeze a win to bridge the little gap above us. Incredibly there are only 5 points between us in third and Salisbury in 18th. Tight as full time arseholes...

On the positive side good to see Steve Forbes get his first Billericay goal, almost got a 2nd just before half time. Forbes was my motm, just ahead of Hunter who also had a good game. Agree with JL that Bert was again excellent, worried to see him go off injured, according to our physio he got a stamp and went off to the hospital for a precautionary x-ray.

Somehow we need to start killing these teams off... we've only scored 2 or more goals 3 times in the league this season (Dover, Wealdstone and Kingstonian) and that isn't enough to see us get into the top positions. We've got a good unbeaten run going, 8 games in all competitions, now we need to step up a gear and turn some of the draws into wins.

The high light of Simon's last post is "Bert got a "stamp". The ref was so inept that he allowed clumsy challenges to go unpunished (deliberately clumsy? - it appears there are teams in this league that excell in that). Also that there is question that the equalising goal was off side and that the linesman who didn't spot it was the one who confessed to be confused over the off side rule, just confirms that we'd be better of with circus clowns officiating at our games. At least it'll be more entertaining watching 'em. I have no issue with ref's that make mistakes, altho during the game they get the grief, but the three prats yesterday afternoon obviously couldn't do thier job. The ref was so unfit there were periods of the game where he refused to leave the centre circle!!! How on earth he can be expected to make a decision over an incident in the any other area of the pitch is laughable. A Sunday League ref would've been better.

As usual, the home support are expressing their relief about getting a point by confusing what they saw with their own imagined embelishments. Obviously this is a trait at this club as they advertise the England game to be viewed on a "big screen" which turns out to be a TV smaller than the one I have at home, for ch**t's sake!!!

I'm looking forward to Windsor coming down to New Lodge and welcoming the few that will travel (I think we had half of the 139 people who pitched up yesterday afternoon so that'll be the team and club officials), as we can show them what it takes to become a progressive club wishing to be successful.

As for Woody calling us "arseholes" well, is this the kind of language we want from childrens film characters? I think not. As shown in the posts from the Windsor supporters, they have quite a lot in common with Disney when it comes to telling fairy tales.

But enough of this banter, I haven't mentioned the team performance. I thought all played well with my MOTM being Leon Hunter (sorry Simon). He was more decisive and stonger than Steve Forbes which is saying something as Steve had an excellent game. The defence was tight, the midfield was strong (a worry for some this season) and our forwards were threatning and unlucky not to increase our score.

We were all disapointed in the result but on Tuesday we play the league leaders, so it is time to put yesterday aside and concentrate our efforts on showing the rest of the league that we are the best club in the Ryman Premier. Lets all get behind the lads.

Pleasing to note that despite Woody bleating about missing 4 players (including at least one suspended so his own fault), nobody from Billericay has offered the excuse that we were missing the following:

Danny Hockton (leagues top scorer)

Pat Sappleton (Ex conference defender)

Keiran Gallagher (admittedly unlikely to start)

add to the list

Bertie Brayley (6 goals this season)

who was nobbled by them and shows up what a poor excuse that is. A poor excuse from a poor excuse for a fan.

The only problem with being a full-time professional club in this league is travelling to small part-time outfits such as Windsor, expecting anything else other than a [censored] ref, [censored] ground and a programme produced with a typewriter.

Deserved a win I thought... but if we dont take our chances it only takes one error or a bit of luck and its 1-1. Which is what happened

Bloody hell i think we've found a winner for most touchy fans in the league already.

Well what do you expect.... There's only one person allowed to call people arseh*les round here, and that's me

And then we beat the c**p out of the lanky piece of...

Woody WEFC Said: "No that is not all we've got. 4 key players missing from key areas of the pitch"

Mal 316 Said: "We had eight players missing todays game and had to get three signed in an emergency and others from our reserves."

So what was it, 4 missing or 8 missing? 8 missing with 3 'emergencies' makes a whole new team. Which one is talking [****!!****]?!!!
