Bertie scored 5 goals for us.

3 against county league teams (1 v Southend Manor, 2 v East Preston)

1 vs an awful Kingstonian team that I would have fancied my chances against...

1 vs Cheshunt that their keeper spilled into the net.

 

If he thinks he can do better elsewhere then good luck to him, but I doubt it.

He was still our second top scorer though, which is slightly worrying. Especially with Hockton out for the season.

Bertie Brayley is replaceable, Hockton on the other hand, isn't so. However, to lose both our main strikers in the space of a few days, the timing could have been a bit better!

Timing couldn't have been much worse really.. big league match tomorrow then Trophy next week. A win tomorrow and we're well in the mix... Hendon have 3 suspended apparently!

Oh well, at first i was disappointed when i heard he might be leaving, but thinking about it more id rather have players who feel something more for the club than just money. Call it bitterness but i think its more Berties loss than ours

Bertie has turned our offer to join us when he leaves Hx.

 

Bertie is still a Hx player, and remains on loan to us until mid Dec, unless Hx recall him or the FA release him.

 

He declared himself unavailable for the game against Hendon and missed training sessions last week.

 

Next week??? Who knows, I certainly don't.

Well I wouldnt be wasting our time on him if he doesn't want to play for us thats for sure, but it sounds like an admin nightmare. But if he refuses to play surely we dont have to pay him our share??
