Should JC move aside?

Recommended Posts

So the build up to the big derby begins. Personally, I think that JC is a top manager who has given a lot to the club over the years. Respect to the man.

However, he has been on borrowed time for some time now and, if we go out to the Enfield Wanderers then I think the board should be strong enough to look elsewhere and ask Jim to move to being assistant.

Yes, we have won trophies, yes we are still (technically) in the race for the ESL title but ETFC fans are hungry for success and Jim has had a good go. Maybe now is the time for a fresh influence to steer the club to where we want to be.

Do I expect my words to be universally agreed with? No. Do I think that a new manager would be in the best interests of ETFC - you bet.

Jim should not be judged on the merits of one game - his record over the past years has been good but not good enough. Ironically, a defeat at the weekend could be the best thing that happens to Town if it means changes are made. Sometimes you've got to take one step back to take two forward...

Too, true. Familiarity breeds contempt (and children of course). I think you guys have done well to stick with the manager, but you could well be right and the end of this season, if you have been pipped at the post yet again, it may be time to take stock of the situation.

Since you Townies were born, the bloke has done you proud, but when you continue to fail to go that extra mile then may be it is time to make a change, however hard it may seem.

F'chrisake.

JC has the best record of any manager in the ESL. We lost Saturday in the league for the first time this season. There is another team in the league that is unbeaten so we are second. Why does anyone think that changing the manager at this stage of the season is going to do the Town any good.

If JC goes it will either be his decision or the clubs and the club is owned by the supporters. We do not need anyone from outside telling us who our manager should be.

Soon you'll want to pick the team!

Jim is Enfield Towns biggest fan. If he didn't believe he was the BEST man for the job,he would happily resign. Lets not forget that he has won five cup finals AND the ESL in his four seasons.

He knows full well, that if he falls short this season serious questions will be asked.I am very confident that Jim and the team will not fall short.

As a player i honestly believe without JIM CHANDLER you would not have the players we have at the club nor would we keep them he works very hard for the club so get off his back.

No sorry as my knowledge of football is currently the size of a postage stamp, it would not be right or appropiate for me to leave bowers & pitsea and go and manage somewhere else, bowers managers of old when given opportunities to managed clubs at a higher level tend to go,i dont want to do this im enjoying the challenge at bowers & pitsea at present, also the essex county f.a. are very happy for me to manage their senior representive side with the lack of football knowledge that you have refered to,many thanks for your support.

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS.
