Should JC move aside?

Recommended Posts

What rubbish people are posting. The only team that "deserves" to be top at the moment is Waltham Abbey. The town "deserve" to be second. It is no one persons fault that Town are second and Abbey are top it is about a team from Roy and the Sunday gang doing the bit on the ground, the supporters cheering behind the goal, me and my trio/quartet/quintet cheering on from the side and LS in the stands to the players on the pitch and the management team.

JC is as much part of that team as anyone else. I did read your post and I disagree with the second paragraph. JC is not on borrowed time. He has a position at the club and he knows what is expected of him in that position.

It takes no strength to sack a manager. It takes strength to hold on to one when the going gets tough. Should I remind you of the early days of Alex Ferguson at Man U when the fairweather fans were screaming for him to go.

JC has had success with EFC and now with ETFC. There are some that are impatient however many of us have been following E's and now Town for many years and know that success has to be built.

I would refer you to back issues of the Gazette in Enfield Town library. Look at the cartoons by Jaycee during the early '60s on the back pages of that paper. You will see mountain climbers conquering Athenia and then looking at the summits of Isthmia before going on to the Amateur Cup. It took 5 years to build that club by Ludford et al and they started from a bigger base than ET.

i think everybody is loosing the plot on here!

we have lost one league game this season ,still in the vase, had a good f.a cup run should have gone further, still in league cup, middlesex snr cup, charity cup.

i know the supporters main objective is to win the league and get promoted trust me that is the most important thing to us players and jc and management!

as people have said jc works his nuts of ETFC i dont think any other manager would do what he does for the club! (ask his wife, think she has forgot what he looks like) (not a bad thing)only joking jim!.

On sat as i have said we were very dissapointed with our performance we let down the ourselves the supporters and the management really, some players were just not a the races!

We must look forward to the next game and get back on track as a club as we are in this together!

Before anyone gets too excited, as far as I am aware the only person to whom it has even occurred that JC should move aside is the person who started this thread.

If at the start of the season we were offered a record of not losing a league game until December we would have taken it. Jim is doing nothing wrong. You can't blame Jim for Waltham Abbey playing so well this season!

First ever season: finished second behind an exceptional Leyton side. We would have won the league if we'd won at Leyton, which we so easily could have done, it was that tight. Had we won th eleague we could not have gone up.

Second season: won the league but could not go up.

Third season: came fourth, a creditable place by most standards.

Fourth season: well here we are, only one game lost and all to play for still.

I haven't bothered to mention the cups.

To me that says that Jim is the obviously the right manager for ETFC.

Carry on Jim, the season's not over till Fruitbat sings!

I should explain that I didn't mean to suggest that you'd really done anything wrong. It was meant as a complement, in that you are ruining our plans by playing so well.

I did not mean to refer to any alleged "incidents" or anything, it was a clumsy attempt to be lighthearted and I apologise for any offence inadvertently caused.

The ref was poor though............. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

A couple of things I reckon:-

a)if JC wanted to move on there are plenty of clubs that would snap him up and not just at this level.

B) he has in the past considred stepping down

Finally I can't imagine anyone one who would be able to take his place
Amber nectar says .....My mate... Tom Loizou.
