Just a quick question, what does everyone think about Allaway? Is he really as good as what some people think!?

Great shot stopper, suspect at kicking and made to look a bit silly last night by a gust of wind. Sort out the kicking and we've got a very handy goalkeeper

Made a name for himself in his first game (Walsall) with his shot stopping abilities - his first save in that match was amazing.

Actually, his kicking is much improved in very recent games. He used to scuff the ball quite a bit but that hasn't been noticeable in the last couple we've played. Maybe it helps having someone like Alan Judge around who can give him a few tips.

 

The only problem as I see it is as soon as he sorts his kicking out, he'll be gone as I'm sure that's the only reason he wouldn't have been playing at a higher level. Same with all our players - if they ironed out all the faults they have, none would be playing for Slough. Except for Wilko and Saulsbury who don't have any faults, of course!

Was signed for Leeds thou and never got a match, maybe that was his problem, that and injury?!

I think he is a really good keeper, especially against walsall, a decent signing by the club.

Great shot stopper, kicking has improved drastically over the past three or four games and has been very good at commanding his area from aerial balls.

I really don`t like people having a go at goalkeepers, I wasn`t at the Billericay game but I think Allaway is one of the best goalkeepers I have seen at Slough. And as for Anon have you never had a bad day at work? or are you perfect?

All of our players have faults. Shaun's kicking is erratic, Steve Daly is too slow, Wilko gets injured too much, Mets gives the ball away too much, Spence can be brilliant one game then not the next and so on. If they didn't have these faults they wouldn't be playing for Slough Town.

 

Shaun is a far better keeper than any I've seen at this level. If he leaves we could well end up getting DJZ back again and then we'll really appreciate how good Shaun is.

As anyone heard more about his injury? Seems his back might be worse than just a bit stiff! Fingers crossed he'll be playing the next game!
