We bossed the first half and could have had three or four with better finishing. Lino gave us a pen for a push on Clarke and he scored easily from the spot.

Second half they started playing better football and we hardly crossed the half-way line for about 20 minutes. They also had a goal disallowed. On 76 Clarke scored possibly the goal of the season when he picked up the ball in his own half and drifted past two defenders before chipping the goalkeeper from 25 yards.

About 10 minutes later a simple square ball into the box was buried by sub Matt Hann - 3-0.

Just before injury time, a corner by Scott Cousins was met at the near host by 'Jimmy' Sangare and his powerful header squeezed under the keeper - 4-0.

They weren't that bad and didn't deserve 4-0 to be honest, some dubious decisions by both ref and one of the linos, but we did play well and looked good in all departments.

I wonder how long Gary Hill will last at Weymouth.

The foundation for this one was a terrific work-rate in the first half when we didn't allow them any time to 'play'. Paul Bastock didn't have a shot to save in the firts half and we had several chances to score before Lee's penalty.

[in the] second half, they started like a proverbial train and we weathered the storm. They had a 'goal' disallowed for offside then a penalty appeal rejected. Lee scored a quite sensational goal on 76 minutes and that was good enough. Their heads dropped and we cruised home with late goals from Matt Hann and Djoumin Sangare.

The centre-back partnership looks very good indeed. They both win an awful lot in the air. One of them would have been my personal MotM. Chris Seeby had a very good first half but made a couple of errors [in the] second. Scott did well throughout. Dean Cracknell and Tom Davis had quiet games, but they all played their part.

Disgraceful scenes at the tunnel at the final whistle and for some 10 minutes after. A couple of their fans and their Officials lost the plot completely. 'Dads' Army' did their stuff.

The attendance was 536. Gibbo will be pleased.

An outstanding performance from all the lads yesterday and Lee Clarke's second goal was quite magnificent. Matt Hann's and Jimmy Sangare's were not too bad either!

Onwards and upwards.

As a displaced Dirty Leeds fan living in the Albans, I occasionally pitch up to watch the saints when it doesn't clash with a southern Leeds Away game (being all 3 homes games so far this season). I was pleasantly surprised to hear "Marching on Together" being sung, something I'd only ever heard being sung by Leeds fans (and the team, when they recorded it as their 1973 FA Cup final song). Does anyone know this managed to find its way to Clarence Park, as I've never heard it in any other ground (admittedly going to few games outside of the Premier and now chamionship)?

Cheers.
