Todays former player news is that Adrian "Not Brian" Deane has signed for Bishops Stortford joining alledged greats Roy and Louis Evans.

Some might argue that Roy Evans was actually a better prospect than Louis.

There are still a select few who beieve he was "White Pele" and didn't get a fair chance - Leigh away was enough for me.

Useless information - Bowry was in the crowd to watch two Colchester matches two nights in a row. One a youth game against his old club Palace and the other a reserve match.

And from a similar-ish era, Dave Bourne (assuming it's the same one) is now playing for Barton Rovers.

Kim Grant, meanwhile, came on as a sub for Crawley on Saturday, and appeared on the front of the NLP too, as it happens.

Ex-Fleet players finding the net on Saturday were McAllister (Woking), Barr (Fisher), Guy (Staines) and Che (Welling, twice).

I hope this post didn't provoke irascibility in anyone.

Former Fleet left back and Halfway line worrier Paul Lamb is being linked with a move back to Margate from Folkestone.

 

Some debate as to whether he's wanted after what sounds like assault on a Git player.
