goals... red cards...three points and an indian....

started off at a much slower tempo than on saturday and both teams struggled to get any rythym...we had two good chances and their keeper made two excellent saves and then they scored from a real defensive clusterfck....

end to end chances but just before half time macca thundered into their box on a janney corner and powered home a header to the near post....

changes at half time and jordons pace made us much more comfortable in defence...tommo on for jamie holding the midfield....now all night the redbridge bench had been very animated to the verge of hysteria.... baiting the ref and the lino unmercifully...and inevitably it all went off....

lee thru on goal and dragged down....it had to be red and the excellent ref didn't bottle it...off went the redbridge captain to howls of cheats etc from the redbridge bench amidst much throwing of water bottles and kicking of hoardings.......and chants of...'off off off'... from over a hundred hardy urchins...

two minutes later and their no 2 elbows lee right in front of the ref who had the balls to dip into the red pocket again and the redbridge bench went crazy....good job the cameras were missing tonight...

redbridge now 5 behind the ball...one in midfield and two rapid dustbin lids up front who certainly earned their spurs tonight...

assistant manager from redbridge next to go down the tunnel accompanied by much gnashing of teeth and threats made to urchins baiting him...

gary cross and the excellent gasper sewed it up and off into the night we scarpered to the indian around the corner...could have been a lot more...

and a nice finale to the evening...

a tandoori shashlik.....top of the league and in all cup competitions....

what more can we ask of the club..the manager and his team...

get in there.....

We missed the Redbridge Goal due to arriving late, but the first half was excellent.

The ref was spot on and dealt with the Redbridge vocal display team at an early stage when the midfielder was booked for dissent. This led to a cracking first half with chances for both teams, redbridge missed a couple of sitters when they hit us on the break, but we fought hard and deserved an equaliser just on half time.

Two second half substitutes and a change of formation made a vast difference and was looking to swing the balance of the match. An hour gone and the first red card, it was a foul, but a different ref would have given a yellow. The second red followed a few minutes later and the game changed completely, we scored two goals due to our advantage and took our foot of the pedal. Which was disappointing considering our teams experience and knowledge.

Redbridge did themselves proud in the last 20 mins, they never stopped chasing the game and at last they stopped [****!!****] whinging and got on with it.

Three points, what more could we ask!

thought the first sending off was all the bloke couild of got he wrestled our player to the ground and was last man.The second one was just a disgrace, the bloke shouldn't be allowed to play football, just before he got sent off he screamed at one of our players,"come on then you little [****!!****],i'll [****!!****] kill you"

bloke obviously thinks he is hard coz he has a skinhead

KNOB!!!

the two half time changes certainly rang it our way...jordons pace at the back stopped their breaks and tommo settled the midfield after the hectic first half...they knew it as well which is why they went bollo...their bench wound their own players up and the reds were the result..for the life of me I cannot see how 3 coaches prowling the touchline abusing everyone and everything can help win a football match....in fairness to alan fenn tho' he came and shook my hand as I left...(as for the reds...well the first one had to go cantos ...he was last man and pulled lee down from behind...ref had the balls to do it tho' I agree...second one again on lee was pure stupid and 'afters' for the previous red)

ref had no choice with either.

first was a professional foul denying a clear goal scoring opportunity & the 2nd was violent conduct.

the 2nd player totally lost the plot. very amusing. he 'offered' out our fella, (didn't have me glasses so god knows who it was), right next to the referee and in earshot of us behind the goal who pipe up. he then bundled him over.

very very entertaining 2nd half. well done to colin for making the half time changes. the 1st half really was end to end stuff. keeper to keeper...

i thought we was poor first half even though we created a couple of good chances, maybe a bit tired from saturday but all credit must go to the gaffer for making the changes at half time, after that we looked more than comfortable and in my opinion would of won had they stayed with eleven men as we was starting to boss the game, still i am dissapointed with the two redbridge players as they just behaved like spoilt little kids in the playground. The first had to go as we would of had a goalscoring opportunity, then he took 3 minutes to get off the pitch offering everyone out on the way.The second sending off, well, the bloke is just an idiot, they should chuck him out of the club

in all honest, you read letters from readers in the nlp every week about the behaviour of clubs officials and players, surely this should be reported to the nlp.

The way some of their players lost their heads and also the coaching staff was a disgrace.I don't mind managers, coaches etc use foul language at times but it was for the best part of 90 minutes last night. We had the same with barkingside last season,is it the area or are the two clubs connected in more than one way(ie sharing a ground!)???

Redbridge have only got themselves to blame. Their manager was trying to reorganise his tactics when the second player got the red mist and got himself sent off. Needless to say, they were up against it after that and if we had kept it simple instead of punting long balls we could have scored more than we did.

The referee and his assistants had to endure the same tirade of "advice" and abuse that their colleagues on Saturday had to put up with but no referee is going to accept being called a cheat by anyone and that is why their coach was sent off.

Redbridge showed a lot of spirit and will no doubt play worse than they did on Tuesday evening and win. They have some useful, talented players but it takes teamwork to win a game not endless bullying of the officials.
