Hereford fan in peace, just wanted to wish you a good day out. I'm London-based and can't make the game but I've been over to your place a couple of times, for the FA Cup match a few years ago and also to watch Dulwich whenever they played you most recently!

Pub-wise I highly recommend the walk through town to The Barrels, it's owned by our local Wye Valley brewery and the beer is both excellent and very cheap.

Other places worth checking out are the Lichfield Vaults, Hereford Beer House (both near the Cathedral) and Beer in Hand. All of these are likely to have a few Hereford fans drinking in for some pre-match amusement.

The pubs nearest to the ground aren't much cop and it's a very short walk into town.

There is a new retail development by the ground which has a Nandos, Wagamamas and a couple of the other usual suspects if you're after food. There is also a superb burger place called The Beefy Boys, locally owned and former winner of 'World's best burger' (http://www.herefordtimes.com/news/11609797.Beefy_Boys___Butty_Back__crowned_world_s_best_burger/). Well worth a visit although busy on Saturdays.

Plenty more decent food in town too, if you want something quick I recommend the pies and sausage rolls at Neil Powell butchers which is a five minute walk from the ground.

Enjoy the game, obviously I hope you lose but I wouldn't be too averse to a replay as it'll be an easier one for me to get to!
